] Date Posted: Thu, Dec 01 2005, 22:10:36 Just received a call from Orion's Belt Network this afternoon. A guy named Zul claims that he is able to help me terminate my Oriental Travel's vacation scheme, with 65% to 85% refund of the purchase price. Thing is, I have to bring my original contract to Park Mall for a valuation with their lawyer. He claims that I'm the 100+ Oriental Travel member whom they have contacted. Anyone with any success with getting their refund from Oriental Travel via Orion's Belt Network? Are these guys seriously involved in legal termination work, or are they another time share vacation company? [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Don't you find that quite hard to believe? What if your purchase price is $200K? Do you think he can still help? Be very careful if they ask for upfront payment. It is a clear signal telling you to walk away. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: Tue, Dec 06 2005, 0:29:05 Hi sim, thanks for your advice. In fact, another guy (Benny) from Orion's called me this afternoon, after my wife told Zul that we are not interested in their services. Benny claims that I can get back 80-90% from the termination. However, I've been surfing other voy threads and found out that Orion's is asking for $5000 for legal fees, which leaves me with almost the same amount (after deducting the $5000 legal fees) from my cashback programme with Oriental in 2 years' time. I don't think Orion's termination is that optimal for me. Also, it seems that Orion's has some hidden charges and "cashback programme". Thanks again for your advice.
