] Date Posted: Fri, Dec 30 2005, 4:50:13 In reply to: Cyrix 's message, "Lifestyle Services in Delfi" on Fri, Apr 29 2005, 15:52:30 I was at there 2 days ago. The company is Grand Seasons International Pte Ltd. The gifts are sponsored by Emperor Holdings International. I've checked out, the place has the same address as Emperor Resorts International (ERI), get the drift..? When I reached there, I had to fill up a mini survey and sign it. I was careful not to use the signature that I normally used for my credit cards etc. The survey was on normal things like your travelling habits and contact number, etc. Then I went into the office proper where the whole "presentation" began. After a few hours of sales pitching comes the price of the package. $10k VIP price if you sign up on the spot and $15k if you sign up another day. To be fair to the sales person, he was persistent, but he DID say that there was no obligations to buy (although he also made it sounds like that would be a stupid decision). Remember, you have the right to say no! For the gifts, I received a watch, a spa discount voucher of $150 for a $180 package (ie. you top up $30). 2 free stay, one is at Phuket (or Koh samui), the other is at their resort in Yunan. Amoung the Terms and Conditions are that you have to attend another holiday presentation during your stay, or else the offer will be void. There's no obligation to buy though. since I didn't agree to buy from them, i dun think I've lost out on anything, except 2 hours of my time. Anyway, my girlfriend has always wanted to go to the spa, so it will be an additional x'mas present for her. :) This is the first time I've attended Timeshare talks (although I've attended several MLM talks before). What an eye opener! After reading so much about people losing a lot of money with ERI, I'm glad I stood firm against buying. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: Thu, Jan 05 2006, 10:33:23 Yes, a call from someone called Rachael, Thai accent. Said I'd won trips to Thailand and China and a spa voucher. My name wasn't mentioned at all throughout the conversation. Prizes couldn't be mailed, hence the call (she said sourly). What did I do to win the prize..."oh! you had been shopping in singapore for the past 6 months, you remember the lucky draw coupon you filled?"...er...no? Anyway the tone of her voice plunged as I began to ask more questions...and the call ended up her dryly saying "orh! ok." Talk about service! I wouldn't in my life believe her an ounce announcing such 'great news' with such a lousy attitude and tone. Would you??? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
