If your timeshare is already fully paid, you can't terminate it. It happened to us and this was based on my consultation from Consumer Association of Singapore, 5 years way back. I paid US$500 the Century 21(US based)for reselling of our timeshare and found that was another big scam. LGM will approach you again to convert your Timeshare to CVC membership(for lifetime)with full cash back in 5yrs time, but you have to pay more. We were invited and tried to persuade us few times. Year 2003 Mr Michael Seet from LGM kept calling to see us home, until 4th Jan'04, he came to our house and conviced us, he even use News papers and pictures of Lee Kuan Yew, etc) to persuade us. We paid another $7k for 25yrs CVC membership (with full cash back of timeshare)($20K +$7K) in 5yrs time. After full payment, we asked LGM to release the entitlement of the said full Cashback, they were informed us..we've got the wrong perception, etc and etc,and in 5 years time the cashback may be as little as 5% to 10% of the total amount of your membership. I really burst and approach again the Consumer Association of Singapore, they confirmed i've nothing to do with it everything was gone.
We also assumed that we are just foreigner (Filipino), the government of Singapore will not do any help or action for this.
