In reply to: Wylie 's message, "VANASIA Consultancy" on Mon, Nov 17 2003, 17:45:15

Everyone,

VANASIA Consultancy has changed its name to GLOBAL EUROP. Claims that the parent company has taken over them. They've renovated their office looks very much professional with 2 sales office room and of course the 'No Admittance - Staff only' room but 'operations' is still very the same.

I relate very well with all of you, stuck with a timeshare for many years now, attended almost every single 'sales pitch' to convert / upgrade / resell and even offer to help 'terminate' my time share for the 'legal cost of $4000' from from the days of HMI to LGM. All of them involves upfront 'fee' as usual. Like all of you, once bitten, never ever try again. But I still make it a point to attend their 'latest sales pitch' to keep abrest of thier 'latest promotion'.

Back to Vanasia, heard their sales pitch 3rd quarter last year of the $500 and $750 'guaranteed' offer when they were still Vanasia, I didn't bite.

They called again, this time as Global Europ, I went down to hear thier 'latest offer' just this week. As usual, midway through, Caroline shows up with a piece of paper of their 'recent sales' and a short discussion of how much they can 'sell' your timeshare for and 'impresive' amount which can cover your timeshare cost + their 'fees'. Then she leaves the room.
They will also show you testimonial letters from Daniel Lo and Mohd. Aziz. Try asking for these people's contacts and they will give you the 'violation of Privacy Agreement' reason.

The 'fee' is now $3888 (whoa!) for 24 months web advertisement etc, etc and 'guaranteed sale at your named price'! Or '70% of your money back at the end of 24 months'. And their 'commitment' that they will definitely sell yours so that they earn their commission and not 'worked' for 24 months for 'free'.

And get this, their reasons for very much higher fee now is because:
1. They have a bigger 'base' now
2. All mail communications to you are via strictly registered mail only as they are all 'very important'
3. All their communications back to their UK head office is via video conferencing (yah, right!)

After their sales pitch, the'll tell you that they've already 'given a generous $1000 discount' off the $4800 'fee' and the discount is only good for that day. And they will try to work out a better 'fee' if you are really 'serious'.

Pretty much modus operandi. Hope my little contribution opens your eyes and help another soul out there.

Hi SSH,

I got a call recently from Global Europ, but just checking with you is the location still at level 8? As a guy named Andy called me and when I asked him about Vanasia, he acted as if he is ignorant about it. Would like to know more, kindly drop me a mail. Thanks.

Hi, I'm just wondering if it is true about all that you say.... They helped me to sell and even got me more than 60% of my money back. I am the only lucky one?

Hi Jo,

I have recently been to Maxwell House to settle some banking at one of the bank there. I explored Maxwell House as I have so long never been to there. I have heard there is one company called vanasia, but I searched the directory in Maxwell House,I can't find any, I asked the security guard at Maxwell House. He told me that Vanasia had moved to 4 floor and changed name to Global Europ. I went to 4 floor and found out that Global Europ have located at 04-01. I think their manager also changed, not Caroline. I saw one pretty slim-looking indian lady dressed very pretty. I think she might be the new manager, I heard the people at Global Europ called her Sonia.

Hi Utta,

Sonia is not new at all. She is exactly the one tricked me in May last year. They simply change different so-called manager facing to the customers at different point of time.
