I am in your exact same situation and all I can tell you is this: You have absolutely no recourse except to hire a lawyer and sue the timeshare company. You can of course verify my advice by double checking with CASE, CAD or your favourite MP. $ingapore has never been well known for its strong consumer protection laws, mind you. People around the world know us because we have the toughest anti-chewing gum laws in the world until the Americans forced our government to change that so that it could do business with the Americans (yes, we can buy medical chewing gums by doctor prescription now, hurrah!). Date Posted: Thu, May 12 2005, 5:08:12 The Consumer Protection Fair Trading Act applies to people who have been conned on or after 1 Mar 2004. However if u feel u have been lied to and misrepresented by timeshare companies or holiday clubs prior to 1 Mar 2004 then u can bring up your case to a lawyer who will fight your case. If u need help getting the correct lawyer let me know. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
