In reply to: Edwin 's message, "Encounter with Oriental Travels" on Sun, Nov 09 2003, 11:45:10

ha, just as i tot !!!

where got so big frog jumping around the street...
(a chinese saying, forgive me if I'm wrong)

Just received a fax stating that I won a plasma 42in.
Once i got this letter i knew it is a scam !!!!
Was a victim once a few years back n learnt my lesson.
Normally when you win something, it usually will be from
a lucky draw(due to ur purchases of some items)
n and prizes will be collected at their respective offices..
therefore when u see a letterhead stating some marketing
company or travels....etc, BEWARE !!!

Anyway, greed is the word. If u are not sure about the winning, run a check on the company's name and u might get some idea.

GOOD LUCK :)

we also got scammed on orchard road! luckily for this site! thank you! all the steps, letters, prizes and calls are all true. whatever ppl have said on this site is what my husband and i encountered also. exact match. isn't this enough proof that ordinary singaporeans like you and me are still getting cheated today? the 1st posting on this site dates back 3 yrs ago..and they're still around doing the same thing. What does it say? that nobody is doing anything abt it until they are scammed! the authorities are not doing anything abt it, or is it because they can't? U mean it's legal to subtly con the public? if legal action is taken, perhaps contracts with Oriental travel, jue Shi mktg as well as those survey forms and letters can be taken as evidence.... it must be a collective effort.

Good Luck and Thank GOD!!!!!!!

Sincerely,
the woman on the street, JL

Good idea to form a collective group. BUT, noticeably absent from all of the discussion are attempts to make follow-up contact with Jue Shi Marketing. Like everyone else, all I have is a PO box number and an e-mail address. Does anyone know Jue Shi's physical address/location, a contact name/s and telephone number/s.
