never sleep // version 2.0: in the midst of dreaming

"My Dad got this totally ridiculous job on this island in the middle of nowhere. I can't beleive he's dragging us all there down with us! Supposedly, there's no T.V., no internet, no phone line. My god, I'm never going to be able to survive. I mean, come on. I'm rich. Shouldn't I get what I want? This is definetely not what I want."

I wouldn't be so sure. On the island of Sceela anything can happen. And I don't mean miracles, I mean parties. I mean clubs. I mean some serious, dirty fun. Because on this particular island, everybody is filthy rich. And when you're rich, you can whatever you please.

We are all teenagers, from the ages of 16-18, who come because our parents are part of some pact. It's a corporate deal, some work thing. Do we care? Hell no! Obviously, our parents are all pretty wealthy. Okay, that's an understatement. We can get whatever we want, whenever we want it, no questions asked. We can party until 6 in the morning, hell, we can party from 11p.m one night, to 11p.m. the next night! And that's short, if you ask any of us.

The point is, this is a no questions asked kind of thing. The girls are gorgeous, the guys are damn fine, and the money... well, we're swimming in it. We can drink underage, we can go to strip clubs if we feel like it, we can smoke, and we can do drugs. No one cares, because it's only us. There's no government on this island. And we're too busy partying to care about doing anything that would have gotten us in jail back in the U.S. This is all fun, baby. Because when you're rich, nothing matters.

I see you've found our world. The reason that I, D-mo, and my co-owner, BLeigh created this game, is because we're both tired of the never ending dark and dreary battle rpgs. We thought it was due time for the rpg world to get a game where it's all fun.

I don't know if any of you have read the Gossip Girl series, but those books gave me my inspiration. In them, it's a bunch of wealthy people that have tons of fun going to parties, smoking, drinking, and fooling around. Now, there's a plot behind all that in the book, (I actually really liked them) but all that partying is what inspired this game.

Never Sleep is all fun. There's no underlying dying city, no evil vs. good, just a bunch of filthy rich teenagers wasting their lives. And loving it.
