Does anyone remember the teacher (Social Studies.. I think) that used to stad on desks and take kids lunches and throw them out the window. I was in 211 during the ice storm and the time when there was the boycot and the parents took over the school for almost 2 months. Please let me know..

I remember the boycott well. I was in 8th grade at the time and the only thing I cared about was not having to go to school!! I just told my kids about that last week.

Remember how he used to slam the chalk on the board when trying to make a point. He also spit when he talked and the front of his pants were always wet like he had an accident or something.

HE WAS A REAL PISSER HE WOULD SIT ON PEOPLE DESKS AND DRAW CATS ON YOUR PAPER - HAD A FASCINATION WITH CATS!!

Was that Mr Werner? He used to ask me to make him coffee and cook opn his hot plate...I later learned he was gay..oh do I remember that boycott..i was in 272 at the time..what i can't understand was how we lost the battle

Hi, Jeff... I went to John Wilson during that time, was in 9th grade in 1971. I think the nutty teacher you might be talking about was either Math, Mr. Greenstein or English, Robert Pomerantz. I had both of them and they were both a little strange and did strange things. Get back & let me know if this was at all helpful to you...

my mom was pta pres. who slept in jhs 211 during the boycott. remember it well. i think the one who threw lunches out windows was mr pagoda?
