Where in the world are the grads from the early 70's? I think that everyone went to some foreign country and forgot to come back. I used to subscribe to the Tilden newsletter for many years but gave up because the only grads to have input were those that graduated many years before me. Is anyone out there? 1971, or a year or two before or after?

Fellow Tilden High School graduates.....My dad Harold T. (Tom) Welsh is a 1950 graduate of Tilden High School and never received his yearbook or lettermen sweater.
His mother kept it from him. She is now in a assisted living home and hospice has been called in because she is in renal failure. Her home was sold prior to her going in to the assisted living home along with everything in it. This was done by another family member and we werent notified he was doing this. So the home and everything in it is sold and gone.
I am pleading with the fellow Tilden High School graduates in hopes that someone out there may have access to a yearbook and/or lettermen sweater. I would love to get one or both for my Dad.

I also spoke to Roni Blye and spent a wonderful Saturday morning speaking with him for a very long time. Hi Im an activity director in an assisted living center in Westbury. I have 3 VERY proud graduates of Tilden , who still remember the school song, teachers and friends.
Evelyn BAum and FAnnie Walder were from the class of 33 and
Natalie Zatz most likely graduated in '41. These women absolutely love talking about Tilden and all the wondferful memories. I saw a blog on the internet seeking men who played football with Bill Feeny, Ronnie Bliey, George Watley etc. I had dinner with Jay Kranis and Harvey Rubin three years ago. I am also in touch with Barry Kraft, George Pena and Al Sachs on a regular basis. "Big Daddy" Lazaar has disappeared since I last saw him in 1980 when I was coaching at New York Tech.

Greetings to all my fellow Tildenites. Allow me this opportunity to tell you a little something about myself. I attended Meyer Levin from 1985-1987, and graduated on to Tilden (1987-1990). Afterwards, I attended Bowling Green State University (OH) for 4 years, returned to NY and attended Pace Univ (NYC). Upon completion of my studies, I became a Social Studies teacher. I currently work out of Isaac Bildersee (Canarsie) but I had the pleasure of working briefly out of Meyer Levin and Tilden. As of December 2006, The NYC Dept.of Ed had decided to phase out Tilden by 2010. Simply put, Tilden High School will no longer exist after June 2010. As I read the postings of others, I was moved to share this information with all of you. Seeing how everyone has such fond memories of Tilden, I thought you all should know the status of our beloved high school.

I was saddened to recently learn that Tilden was to be phased out over the next few years. So I called a few friends with whom I still keep in touch... They had also heard about it and did the same. A few of us got motivated and got together for dinner. Over dinner got nostalgic, spoke of friends we hadn't heard from for a long time and wanted to see if we could reconnect. So those few called a few others and so on, to learn how the friends of our youth have done. Where they are and to try to remain touch, perhaps to reunite from time to time.

Hope everyone is doing well. I am currently living in Illinois, not too far from Chicago. Great city but I miss New York. I love New York and my heart goes out to all those affected by September 11th. It was wonderful to see New Yorkers come together and how the rest of the country was and still is behind them.

Because of this web site I was able to find a very dear friend who I graduated with in 1965. He went to Asia in 1980's to seek his fortune and became one of the most successful western business men in the history of china.
I traveled to Palm Desert,Calif to spend some time with him and his family and It was as if 37 years did not pass.As they say, you can take the boy out of Brooklyn but you can't take Brooklyn out of the boy.We would like to hear from other people from the 63-65 era and talk about our lives and successes.If you are from that era I would like to share other stories about our Tilden classmates.On a sadder note I would like to say god bless all the people who are helping with the rescue of our fellow New yorkers after the horrible attack on our beloved city

I am looking for Eric Chaiken. I think he graduated Tilden in 1972, or, 1973. We met at Kingsborough Community College and were friendly for a few years afterwards. I went to Sheepshead Bay HS. The last I heard, Eric was working as a hospital administrator. I think the last time I saw Eric was at his wedding. Anyway, I am living in Florida now and feeling very nostalgic and looking to get in touch with some old friends. Any help would be appreciated.

CBS-FM played this date in 1967 (9/22)and it really brought Susan back to me. I'm happily married, but I'd love to know what happened to Sue. Is she in Chicago? I'm in Long Island.

The Tilden class of 1965 is well overdue for a reunion. I reside in St. Petersburg Florida. There are a lot of Brooklyn people down here and a lot of Tildenites. I'm surprised there wasn't a reunion when we were out of school 30 years or even 35 years.

Ronnie Feldman - I lived at 75 Lott Avenue between Amboy and Hopkinson. I graduated from Tilden in January 1958. Part of the group I remember was Faith Levinson, Gloria Schwartz, Heshie, Harvey and Francine Malin, Nancy and of course Arlene and Linda.
We held a 25th reunion in 1973 in Uniondale, NY and Faith came to it from Texas. Unfortunately we lost track after that.
