i have a guestion for those who know horsepower. i have a 388 stroker sbc on a 100 shot zex plate running around 6.25 to 6.35. yes i said 100 shot. but will be adding a little more later. but for now i want to add a spacer between the zex plate and intake just to see if there is improvement. i thinking of a 2 inch spacer. My guestion is should i go with a aluminum or wood spacer. i see alot of racers run aluminum. is this so the gases atomize from the warm/hot aluminum. any comment would be apprectiated

say jet i have a plastic 2" spacer at the shop you can borrow to see if it works. also would you be interested in running our evil street class? looks like with a 82 jet you could be a player. check out the rules, it should be a tight pack.

thanks thomas but i'm a budget racer with home made traction bars on stock leaf spring suspension. problem is i can't get my nova to hook on 26-8.5 tires i have tried 26 by 10,11.5 and 27 by 11.5,275-60.finally i have had good luck with 28-9 hoosiers. i found a 1 inch wood spacer that had to port match to the intake so i will start with that but thanks. see you at track.
