Subject: Morning Miss V! How are you today?

I cannot fucking believe it. I just got another person. That makes five, six including the law clerk. SIX. I just started in July. Everyone else has three. I have SIX. What the fuck??????????

Sigh....

But I did switch out my chair with one of the unused ones in back so I'm hoping that'll help with the back pain.

I'm dead on my feet now, there's no way I'm watching De-lovely now, 3 films in a row was a bit ambitious. Layer Cake was excellent, really really good British film that was different to the rest, this was more like a Michael Man movie. Tom Hardy was in it not that I recognized him until the credits.

Made a start on the Kitchen today, a really nice man came round to give me an estimate for disconnecting the cooker, but he actually did it there and then and not only that, but he dragged the cooker downstairs for me, what a man! So I've now ordered the fridge freezer and once that's here, the nice man will come back and give me an estimate for the plumbing etc. That is going to be a massive job and will involve moving the sink and stuff but its got to be done, I can't deal with the launderette anymore. After that I've got to get a new microwave combination oven and then figure out how to pay for it all.

Goodness--talk about major renovations. Do you really have enough room for all of that? Or is everything going to be somewhat miniature in size?

I don't even want to think about my apartment right now, it's such a mess. I've just been piling everything on the counter, and then I emptied my bookback out on the cocktail table for ACL, then remptied it out this morning so I could grab a few things to take to work with me, so just about every flat surface is covered with crap, and I just don't have the energy to deal with it.

completely then get rid of the fridge and then I can have the new fridge freezer where the cooker was, then put a washer dryer next to the sink where the fridge was. I don't really cook so its not a hardship, and the microwave will be fine. I could get a little 2 ring hob as well. I've also got more decorating to do and my boss will help with that, plus she's goin gto help put up shelves in the hall so I can get more books there, and get rid of the bookcase that is too big for the alcove its in!

Talking of mess, my place it really dirty now after the cooker being dragged around, plus I've got a wardrobe in the front room that should be dwonstairs in the hall (only place it will fit.

It's so nice that your boss is willing to help out with everything. That has got to make the whole process a lot easier.

[> [> One of my coworkers just played a horrible joke on me.... -- Dhvana, 09:51:06 09/22/04 Wed

Each month, we send out to various clients this massive pain in the ass thing consisting of articles written by the attorneys updating the clients on various projects and laws and such. Each month, a different secretary is responsible for putting it together and formatting it. It's extremely frustrating and time-consuming. So far, I've yet to do it. One secretary, hearing of my woes, sent me a joke email saying that since she was getting busy next month, she wanted to know if I would do the update for her, and then she'd do it for my month. (then wrote she was only kidding.) Scared the living shit out of me. Man, that was just cruel, LOL. Going to take forever to get my heart back to its normal rhythm.
