It is unfathomable to me why Kim Greenwood continues to use the services of the diabolical Kent Parham. He is destructive, abusive and thrives on shattering the self-confidence of young women. Choreographers like Kent are a dime a dozen. Why not have someone who would be uplifting and encouraging? There is no need to continue using such a venomous and hateful individual. I thought the goal of the Miss USA pageant was to encourage young women to be "confidently beautiful". Kent Parham's classless and unprofessional method of berating and debasing young women is unacceptable and is the antithesis of this goal. He needs to be removed from the industry swiftly and completely before his toxic nature damages the psyche of any more young women. I hope those on this forum who have experienced his malicious nature will join with me in demanding that he be replaced immediately if not sooner!

I didn't realize the purpose of pageants was to name call, humiliate, and tear down the self confidence of young women. Obviously the best way to teach someone is to make fun of them and body shame them in a classroom full of their peers! That is certainly the most effective way to get someone to put forth their best effort and teach them to be confident. Now I understand that the only way to really teach my snowflake confidence and poise is to bully her to tears and rip her apart every chance I get. Thank you for explaining that pageants are meant to abuse and destroy! Kent's methods make perfect sense now.

Yeah, Kent is nuts. I've been through enough of his classes to say that yes, he loves ripping into people and his method is to shame and humiliate you into compliance. Its pretty disgusting. I do think it's funny that all these people are like "you need to toughen up!". Its actual possible to instruct and provide constructive criticism without being an a**. Not sure why they are so convinced that you've got to dish out garbage to get results. I think these people are probably just ignorant. There are a lot of back woods pageant people out there. You know, those trailer park queens who spend every dime they have doing pageants? They are SO the type to fall in with this line of thinking. There are plenty of other good pageant coaches around. Try Beth Hood if you're looking for someone who knows the business and can provide you with good instructions without the hatefulness.
