In reply to: Ga Fan 's message, "OK Georgia Pageant Peeps, who was at Orientation yesterday? Give us all a report please." on 08:20:47 10/19/14 Sun

From my observation, you need to know the right people because they do have an influence of the top 5 and winner of the pageant. I do not have a daughter in the pageant and will not, it is not worth the money or time invested. There are a few former winners and their family that can have somewhat of an influence on the outcome, so participant beware! Height is most definitely a requirement, so if your daughter isn't at least 5'6" do not bother with the pageant, they might make top five but never the winner. Unless the previous winner of the state won Miss USA then she might stand a chance then because in most cases there will not be back to back of the same state winners at the Miss USA level. And last but not least, this message board and most of the people on here ARE vicious, immoral, depraved and barbarous! If your daughter is in the pageant and is of any threat of winning, then I can assure you, her name will be posted on here and mostly not in a positive way, it is sad, but true. The lengths some parents, mostly moms will go to is insane, this too is sad but VERY TRUE! So happy I will not be part of the CRAZY TRAIN ever again, just an observer now.

[> [> Subject: I agree with everything you say here. So many people influence the outcome of this pageant (mostly sponsors) and the miss georgia people who are allowed inside the organization. The "wonder twin" has to go! I think exceptions are made on height and this year that will be the case with Brooke Fletcher in Ga. If youre a contender and youre not african american, the black mafia will be gunning for you and they will hurt your daughter in this pageant. Beware! So glad also to just be an observer after many years of participating and watching all this crazy drama.
