She says she got a letter from Elvis after their break-up (in '79). In the letter he tells her to look for "the clues". Is that what you are referring to? She says she snooped through Elvis' notebook and he'd written her name "a thousand times, all different ways. That's when I saw Bebe-Blue, and I started to unravel the code." That was in '84, I think. The last Costello album Bebe talks about is the one he did with Burt Bacharach, Painted From Memory. She says, "It's funny what Elvis does. He writes these lyrics because he knows I will see them, but he also knows that if I try to express this to people, they will think I am nuts. It delights him. But deep down he knows the truth." It's in the PB edition.

She says all of the above were responsible for their break-up: pressure from his business associates, the abortion, also her bad reputation. The first wife hinting she'd send her brothers after Bebe is there too.

That wasn't edited or glossed over either. All that stuff about her talking to her cat and dog, thinking she's dying of imaginary diseases, pulling her hair out, self-mutilation, and borderline-personality disorder. It's all there.

She never says he wrote "Little Red Corvette" about her, in either the HB or PB. She talks about a conversation she had with her mother when that song came on in the car, and she tells her mom "it can't be about me. I don't know the man". She still says this conversation gave her the idea to manipulate Elvis. "I don't know what made Prince write that song, but it certainly did open up a door for me to play with Elvis's head." This is the exact thing she says in the HB.

Nope. Not that I noticed anyway. Because I still couldn't figure out why she thought Steven and Todd were "manipulating" her through her pregnancy, and why she seemed so betrayed by Todd's affair during her pregnancy when she was involved with Steven before, during, and after her pregnancy.

She "fervently" believes she was never a groupie. She still prefers "muse" over groupie. Although "wanna-be muse" is more appropriate, in most cases.

"I never felt like I fit in with the crowd out in L.A., because I felt girls out there were a little bit cruder and a lot more hard-core. Girls would just go back to the hotel and have sex with anyone. I was always amused by them, but I never saw them as comrades or equals, or women I wanted to hang out with. I mean, I knew these girls. I knew Lori Maddox and Sable Starr. They were harmless enough, but I never operated on that level. And it was difficult for me, because I felt I couldn't trust the girls in L.A. I felt they were always trying to fuck the men I was with behind my back, and they definitely were. I called them "the body snatchers." Rock-star snatchers is what they were." Yep, still hypocritical on this. She can say all this when she knew Lori Maddox, for example, saved herself exclusively for Jimmy for years. She also knew Jimmy had a serious live-in girlfriend, mother to his child, at home. She has absolutely nothing negative to say about Jimmy Page having sex with a 14 yr old (look at R.Kelly, Jimmy Page would be in jail if Led Zep were big in 2002!), but feels the need to trash these girls who were only children at the time. This part annoyed me more than any other.

Nope!

It says the same thing, absolutely no mention of the letter Bebe wrote to some music paper in CA, which allegedly caused Coyote to post nasty messages about Bebe online, which lead to that nasty mud-fight between them when Bebe got her own computer. Absolutely no mention. You know there's a lot more dirt on their separation and divorce (Bebe allegedly attacking Coyote at a friend's house in CA, and allegedly sending harrassing voice mail to him and his new wife)that will never make it into any book she writes.

That's what hit me, when I first heard her comments on Sable. I had assumed Sable and Bebe must have been good friends, for her to defend Sable and trash Pamela. Boy, was I mistaken. I'm surprised she didn't take the time to change much of anything else, not even typos. Kim Fowley (a guy) is referred to as "she".
I think she may have changed talking about her looks. In reviews people go on about how she says she is beautiful every other page. The only time her looks are mentioned, it's someone else (Eileen Ford, Groucho Marx, ect) telling her she's beautiful. It's not like she's saying "I was such a beautiful girl" every other page. If she changed that, it wouldn't surprise me. She's gone on record saying Victor Bockris pushed mentioning her looks and she didn't think it was a good idea and they battled over it. She thought it sounded conceited and she would have changed it.
