Is it just me? Every time I read an interview featuring her, or an article someone has penned with her as its subject, I have to do something to shake myself up, like going outside for a breath of fresh air, pinching myself to make sure it wasn't all a horrible, terrible, nightmare, or having a long, frigid shower, because I feel so sullied. She got psychiatic help? Is that another of her 'delusions'? She's got to be the most mentally unstable person I've ever read about. Back in the '80s I used a lot of LSD, and the 'normal, everday' life she's dreamed up for herself reminds me of the kind of thing that led me to a trip to the emergency psychiatric devision of the local hospital so I could detox. This woman needs help. Imagine what it must be like for her family to have to put up with her. It's astonishing Liv is as well-adjusted as she is. Even though she was raised by other family members, she's obviously still had extensive exposure to this wingnut. At the same time I feel bad saying that about her mum because mine is a paranoid schizophrenic who ran off when I was an infant and never came back, and I know how difficult it must be for her always hearing negative criticisms of her mother. On the other hand my life was probably a lot better in some respects because my dysfunctional mother never came back. As much as she claims to love her daughter I'm sure at the same time she's made her daughter's life more difficult than it should have been. Liv's an amazing person to come from such shaky foundations and build a career for herself. She seems like a really beautiful person.
