What are you saying? Do you, or do you not want to be trained. We have a job certification procedure outlined on page 21 of the local contract. It is managements responsiblility to make sure you are trained, and the aternates, along with the supervisor, are there to certify that you DO know the job. Is it the alternates fault that you are not being trained and certified if supervisors are too busy to train and certify employees? Here's the problem, every month the training rep. used to analyze training progress in each dept. and report out the deficiencies at the key four meeting. Then department supervisor's that were found not to be training were "encouraged" to train more. There is no hourly traing rep. now but "rumor" has it that it's one of our bargaining teams top priorities. Maybe this will put the alternates back to work doing what the Job Certification process intended to do!
