The Authority of Jesus Christ

Authority is a concept known to some degree by every responsible person. By most it is appreciated, for without it society would be chaotic. Others detest it, and refuse to live by it. The world’s prisons are full of such rebels.
“Authority” is a major biblical theme. The most popular Greek word for “authority” is exousia (sometimes translated as “power”). This term, with a variety of usages, is found some 102 times in the New Testament.
Authority is attributed to God the Father; it is resident in his very nature. Authority alludes to Deity’s right to command and enforce obedience.
What is less recognized in some segments of universal religion, however, is the authority of Jesus Christ. The authority of the Lord Jesus may be studied from various vantage points, e.g., his eternal authority before the universe existed, his incarnate authority as God’s Son in the present order of things, and his authority as it will be after this material world has been obliterated.
From the nature of the case, this present study will have to be somewhat limited.
Christ’s Authority as Creator
One aspect of Christ that is not appreciated, even by many Christians, is his role in the original creation. In the opening lines of Scripture, Moses declared that: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Gen. 1:1). The Hebrew term for “God” is a plural form (also v. 26 – “us” and “our”; cf. 3:22).
This is the first biblical hint of the triune Deity, known in the New Testament as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the New Testament, John declares that the eternal Word became flesh, and: “All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that has been made” (Jn. 1:1, cf. v. 14).
Paul likewise alludes to Jesus’ role as Creator (Col. 1:16; cf. 1 Cor. 8:6b), as does the writer of Hebrews (cf.Heb. 1:2b).
Christ the Sustainer
In addition to the Lord’s creative capacity, he is involved in sustaining the present order of the created universe.
Paul contended that it is by the authority of Christ that “all things hold together” (Col. 1:17, ESV). Further, Jesus, in connection with his creation role, is said to “uphold all things by his powerful word” (Heb. 1:3).
Were it not for the sustaining authority of the Son of God, our universe would come apart at the seams!
Christ’s Incarnate Authority
In discussing the authority of Jesus during his earthly sojourn, it is important to understand something of the nature of Christ’s in-the-flesh existence.
Though he maintained his full divine nature as the Son of God, for the love of others he made the decision to not “grasp” (hold on to) his status of “equality” with the Father (in the matter of authority). Instead, he “emptied himself” (a voluntary act at a definite point in time) of his sovereign independence, assuming the role of a “servant” (literally a “slave”) (Phil. 2:5-10).
His exercise of authority, therefore, was subservient to, and consistent with, that of his Father’s (cf. Jn. 5:30; 6:38). This is what the Lord had in mind when he spoke of the “authority” that was “given to” him by the Father (Jn. 17:2).
His divine authority “in the days of his flesh” (Heb. 5:7) is important to understand as we engage this study. From this vantage point, let us reflect upon various uses of his authority as “the Son of man.”
Conditions of Nature
Jesus was able to exercise supernatural authority over the forces of nature.
When the Lord was in a boat with his disciples on the Sea of Galilee, a storm “came down” upon that body of water (695 feet below sea level—an environment facilitating violent weather). The waves were crashing over the vessel, covering it, and it began to be filled with water. The disciples, though experienced fishermen, were terrified. They awoke the Lord, who was asleep in the stern, and cried out for his help.
Christ “rebuked” both the wind and the sea, and immediately the wind ceased, and there was a “great calm” upon the water (Mt. 8:23ff; Mk. 4:35ff; Lk. 8:22ff). The verbal forms denote an instant state of being. A. T. Robertson noted that ordinarily a sudden drop in wind does not create an immediate calm of the water (I.69).
When entering Jerusalem a few days before his death, Christ and his disciples came to a fig tree at the roadside. It was leafed out, but had no fruit; this was strange since fig trees bore the fruit first, then came the leaves.
The Lord saw this as an opportunity to rebuke the Hebrew populous. Spiritually speaking, the corrupt nation feigned the appearance of productivity but was barren—even on the verge of murdering the Messiah. Christ thus spoke to the tree saying, “Be without fruit forever more.” Instantly the tree withered away, beginning from the roots (Mk. 11:12-14).
Jesus’ authority, even over nature, was phenomenal.
Living Creatures
The authority of the Lord was evidenced by his total control of living creatures.
When Christ and his disciples were at Capernaum, those who collected the temple tax inquired of Peter as to whether his teacher (Jesus) paid that tax. The apostle replied affirmatively.
Later, however, Jesus made an important point to the apostle. A son was exempt from paying taxes to his father; as the Son of God, therefore, the Lord was free from the temple tax.
Nonetheless, to avoid causing others to stumble, he instructed the apostle to cast a hook into the Sea of Galilee; the first fish caught would have a coin in its mouth sufficient for the tax covering both Christ and Peter. The Lord brought a specially prepared creature to the apostle’s hook.
As Jesus prepared to enter Jerusalem on that Sunday before his crucifixion on Friday, he dispatched two disciples to enter the community of Bethphage. There they would find a donkey and her colt. They were to bring these animals to Christ. The colt had not been broken for riding (Mk. 11:2), but garments were placed on the animal’s back, and without incident, the Lord rode the docile creature into Jerusalem.
If we may be permitted to express a thought figuratively, a yielding dumb beast had more “sense” on this occasion, than those who would be screaming, “Crucify him!” within a matter of days.
The point being made is the authority of Christ over the creatures he made.
Sickness
There are no fewer than nineteen specific cases of miraculous healing performed by Jesus in the three and one half years of his ministry.
Modern medical specialists struggle with overcoming a wide variety of ailments that plague the human body. It takes medications, surgical procedures, the healing properties of time, etc., to effect the temporal cures that we so cherish as slowly-dying human beings.
The healing miracles of Jesus involved of a wide variety of ailments, e.g., leprosy (Mt. 8:2ff), congenital blindness (Jn. 9:1ff), restoration of a severed ear (Lk. 22:50-51), deafness and impediment of speech (Mk. 7:32ff), etc.
In this connection it is appropriate to mention that one aspect of the Savior’s miracles was to establish his authority.
At Capernaum the Lord encountered a man afflicted with palsy, who had been brought to Christ on a stretcher by four friends. Seeing their faith being demonstrated, Jesus said to the crippled man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
Who would dare to authoritatively claim to pardon someone of his sins? Only God has that prerogative.
The Lord thus explained his supernatural act.
“That you may know that the Son of man possesses authority on earth to forgive sins (he said to the sick of palsy), I say to you, Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house” (Mk. 2:10).
The miracles of Jesus authenticated his claim of being God’s unique Son.
Death
There were three cases during Christ’s ministry when he raised people from the dead—the daughter of Jairus (Mt. 9:18-26; Mk. 5:21-43), a widow’s son (Lk. 7:11-15), and Lazarus of Bethany (Jn. 11:43-44).
In addition, there is the subtle suggestion that in some way, the Lord was instrumental as well in the resurrection of his own body (cf. Jn. 2:19).
The credentials for the Savior’s authority are impressively increasing.
Demons
Demons (not “devils” KJV) were evil spirits (Mt. 12:43-45) under the control of Satan. These were permitted to inhabit the bodies of some people during the earthly days of Christ and his apostles.
Almost certainly this was for the purpose of allowing the Savior and his men the opportunity of demonstrating the superiority of Christ’s authority over Satan (see Mt. 12:28-29; Lk. 10:17-18; 1 Jn. 4:4).
The New Testament clearly indicates that demons were under the ultimate control of the Savior. Demons tormented a man who lived in the country of the Gerasenes. When Christ expelled the evil spirits from the unfortunate man, the demons asked the Lord’s permission to enter a herd of swine nearby. Even they acknowledged the Messiah’s authority (Mk. 5:6-7).
Since they did, where does that place those today who refuse to acknowledge his authority?
Angels
The English “angel” is an anglicized form of the Greek aggelos (pronounced ä’n-ge-los). The term signifies a “messenger.” Aggelos is used in several ways in the Scriptures. It most commonly denotes a heavenly order of created beings (Psa. 148:2, 5), who are “spirits” as to their nature, and who carry out the will of God on behalf of his people (Heb. 1:14).
A consideration of the New Testament evidence reflects the fact that Christ exercises authority over these heavenly beings. In speaking of the coming day of judgment, Jesus himself declared:
“The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity” (Mt. 13:41).
Since the Lord exercises authority over angels, what does that say about his authority over those who are “a little lower than the angels”?
Christ and the Law of Moses
One of the most prominent errors in the community of “Christendom,” is a failure to properly distinguish between the purpose of the Old Testament and that of the New Testament. Many wander back and forth between the Old and New Testaments, without a clue as to the difference between the “first” and “second” of these covenants (cf. Heb. 8:7; 10:9).
John the apostle wrote: “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” (Jn. 1:17). The “law of Moses” was also called the “law of God”; ultimately it was from God though given through Moses (cf. Neh. 8:1, 8).
However, that law was never designed to be a permanently binding legal document. It was preparatory to the coming of the new covenant (cf. Jer. 31:31ff). But can we imagine someone citing that law, and then saying: “You have heard that it was said,” appealing then to that law, but subsequently adding, “but I say unto you….”
Who, but an authoritatively endowed person, would dare to be so bold. Yet that was precisely the thrust of the Lord’s message in that illustrious “sermon on the mount” (cf. Mt. 5:22, 28, 32, 34, 39, 44).
Little wonder, then, that at the conclusion of that discourse, “the multitudes were astonished at his teaching: for he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes” (7:28-29).
Christ’s Authority Prophesied
The authority of Christ was generously previewed in the Old Testament.
The Savior’s regal authority was foreshadowed in the famous “scepter” prophecy of Genesis 49:10.
The kingly image was continued in Samuel’s affirmation of the coming Christ (2 Sam. 7:12-13).
It was expanded by David (Psa. 2:1ff). (d) Isaiah announced it (9:6).
Jeremiah did as well (33:15-16).
Zechariah likewise followed with an announcement of the priestly king (6:12-13).
The Lord Jesus himself certainly had his authoritative reign in view when he spoke of a “certain nobleman” who went into a far country (heaven), to receive for himself a kingdom.
Some repudiated his authoritative administration, however, and these were depicted as his “enemies.” Consequently their punishment was deadly and eternal (Lk. 19:12-14; 27; cf. also Rev. 19:11-16).
Christ’s Authority Via Scripture
The practice of publishing the New Testament with the words of Jesus in red type, however well-meaning, is misguided. The reason being, it leaves the impression with many that the words spoken by Christ are more important than the messages spoken and written by other inspired persons. This is an erroneous conclusion.
As Christ taught during his personal ministry, he emphatically declared that the messages of his inspired representatives would carry the same weight as his own declarations.
For example, the Savior said regarding those whom he had dispatched with his authority.
“He who listens to you, is listening to me; and he who rejects you is rejecting me; and he who rejects me is rejecting him who sent me” (Lk. 10:16).
On the evening of the last supper, just before his impending arrest, Christ repeatedly emphasized that after his departure his disciples would be empowered by the Holy Spirit. In connection with that endowment, Jesus promised: “I come unto you” (cf. Jn. 14:16-18).
He pledged that their messages would be those of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit (14: 26), and would likewise represent him. He declared that in their teaching they would be guided by the Spirit into all the truth (Jn. 16:13).
On numerous occasions Christ declared that the disciples’ future instruction was by his authority (Mt. 10:19-20; Mk. 13:1-4; Lk. 12:11-12). The apostle Paul most emphatically declared: “…the things I write unto you … they are the commandment of the Lord” (1 Cor. 14:37b). He frequently undergirded his teaching with the affirmation he was speaking on behalf of Christ (1 Thes. 4:2, 15; 2 Thes. 3:6, 12). He declared that his inspired teaching was backed by the same authority as that of his Lord (1 Cor. 7:10,12). We absolutely must recognize that the authority of the Son of God is resident in the inspired instruction of the New Testament.
Authority Relinquished
Before concluding this discussion regarding the “authority” of Christ, we are inclined to call attention to perhaps the most profoundly puzzling thought on this matter that it is possible for the human mind to contemplate. The apostle Paul penned the following:
“Then cometh the end when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign till, he hath put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him. And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all” (1 Cor. 15:24-28, ASV).
Scholars are somewhat divided on the precise significance of the phrase that affirms Christ’s authoritative role will be surrendered to God the Father.
The passage appears to declare that when Christ returns, at the conclusion of earth’s history, the authority he had exercised during the Christian dispensation will somehow be fully assumed by the Father, with the Son being submissive to him. It will be sufficient to say at this point that this self-surrender of his kingdom-authority will in no way reflect a forfeiture of his deity or divine glory.
Whatever else it suggests, it does seem to indicate that in some fashion our blessed Savior has chosen to be eternally identified with us as a “brother” (cf. Rom. 8:17; Heb. 2:9-12).
And in some unfathomable way we will be privileged to “reign with him” as a spiritual kinsman (Rev. 3:21; 22:5b).
Conclusion
The authority of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is a prevailing and engaging theme within the sacred Scriptures. To ignore it has eternal and devastating consequences.
Every rational, sincere soul should joyfully enter Christ’s kingdom by means of the new birth process (Jn. 3:3-5), and happily and fervently serve him as king for as long as they live.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thought than your thoughts.
ANOINTING CLOTHS: Acts 19:12 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul. So that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.
THE ANOINTING BRINGS THE HOLY SPIRIT: 1 Sam. 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.
The oil throughout scripture typically symbolizes the Holy Spirit.
By using the anointing oil we are breaking the yoke of burden off of others and ourselves that are anointed and leaving the residence of the Holy Spirit.
MEANINGS OF THE ANOINTING OILS
SPIKENARD
Nard is mentioned a number of times in the Old Testament. It is mentioned in the biblical love poem, the Song of Solomon (1:12 and 4:13).
During ancient times, Spikenard was the most expensive perfume in the world. A pound was said to cost an entire year’s salary for the average worker. Spikenard was considered a herb of love, thus when Mary of Bethany poured out her perfume without reservation, it became a powerful symbol of abandoned worship. Her extravagant love caused a chain reaction. Those around became indignant but that didn’t stop her from boldly proceeding to anoint the One she loved. Yeshua vindicated her and her name will always be remembered and her fragrant worship spoken of.
Spikenard is a small attractive perennial and is usually found growing on rock ledges and mountain slopes. It is prized for its aromatic rhizomes (roots). The fragrant worshipful adoration that spikenard symbolize, came thus from the root, the very core of the beloved’s being. It’s found growing in the Shulamite Bride’s garden. "Your shoots are an orchard of pomegranates with choice fruits, henna with nard plants, Nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with all the trees of frankincense, myrrh and aloes, along with all the finest spices. Song 4:13-14
Spikenard is, by far, one of the most lovely and powerful symbols of worship. Mary came boldly, humbly, and without fear of man to worship her Lord. Mary cast aside the indignant remarks made about her and set her heart and affection on the Lover of her soul. She anointed Yeshua with the costliest and most valuable thing she possessed. Mary poured out all she had without reservation. As she abandoned herself to the Lord, the house was filled with the fragrance of her worship. This fragrance reminds us to live a lifestyle of EXTRAVAGANT worship poured out upon our Beloved.
FRANKINCENSE & MYRRH
Frankincense is one of the three gifts given to Yeshua at His birth – Gold, frankincense & myrrh (Matt. 2:11).
Myrrh comes from the word, marar, meaning to be grieved, make bitter, trickle, or to drop. The harvesting of myrrh was done by slicing the bark of the myrrh tree so that the precious resin oozes out and hardens into drops called “tears”. Myrrh’s fragrance is sweet to the smell but bitter to the taste which reminds us of the sweetness of our redemption but the bitter price that Yeshua paid to accomplish our salvation. The process of dying to self may at times be grievous and bitter but 2 Cor 4:17 reminds us that “…momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison”.
The aromas of frankincense and myrrh were present in tombs and temples since ancient times. These fragrances link to the dawning of civilized human society. Frankincense and myrrh are familiar botanical products in the east, where they've been used for millennia. Most people in the west are unfamiliar with the true identity of these enigmatic substances -- even though they are frequently mentioned in historical texts, especially scripture, (frankincense is mentioned 22 times in the Bible).
CASSIA
“All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces adorned with ivory the music of the strings makes you glad.” Ps 45:8
Cassia comes from the Hebrew word, “qadad” which means to bow the head, to stoop and to strip off. It is one of the 4 spices in the Holy Anointing Oil. Cassia bark is aromatic, similar to cinnamon. Like cinnamon the leaves of the cassia shrub are first stripped off and then the bark is ground into a fine powder. This portrays clearly Yeshua’s sacrificial laying down of His own life. He was willing to empty Himself out and to be stripped of His deity. He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point death (Phil. 2:3-8) and was crushed for us.
We also should become willing to be stripped of everything that offends God and become like Him in this godly virtue of humility. It’s the humble who enjoys the promises of being led in justice, -taught His way and have His favorable look Isa 66:2b … "But to this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word." "He leads the humble in justice, and He teaches the humble His way." Ps 25:9
Two of the oldest known spices in the world are cinnamon and Cassia. Cassia is similar to cinnamon; however, it has a more pungent and less delicate in aroma. It is also known as Chinese Cinnamon.
Cassia is an ingredient in the Holy Anointing Oil and the Temple Incense that was burned daily in the temple. Cassia oil is distilled from the plant's leaves and twigs.
CINNAMON
Cinnamon is one of the principal ingredients in the holy temple anointing oil. It was also used for purification.
Stripped cinnamon barks are carefully packed in layers, one inside the other, to produce long, rolled and layered upright "quills.
" Ps 23:3b “He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” –
The paths referred to here, indicates a circular track or path or rampart.
This fragrance speaks of “layers” of righteousness, increased holiness. Jesus' life is our example of perfect holiness before the Father. Through His holiness we are made holy. He lived and walked blameless in speech and all He did.
To be anointed with Cinnamon is to be anointed for Holiness. To turn our lives over to Jesus and allow the layers of righteousness to increase in us.
LILY OF THE VALLEY
The lily is likened to a straight trumpet. The trumpet was used as a signaling instrument and its sound was brought forth with intent. 1 Cor. 14:8-9 mentions the importance of a trumpet’s clear sound. The lily of the valley carries the clear message of sweet, abundant and affectionate conversation and communion with the Lord. It speaks of pure and undefiled intimacy that grows effortlessly in the beauty of holiness. His gospel – the good news of His love and reconciliation needs to drip from our lips as well as be trumpeted to others. This fragrance serves to remind us to communicate the sweetness of our Messiah in uncompromising clarity. “I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.” Song 2:1 "Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the maidens". Song 2:2 "My lover is mine and I am his; he browses among the lilies. " Song 2:16 "Your two breasts are like two fawns, like twin fawns of a gazelle that browse among the lilies. " Song 4:5 "His lips are like lilies dripping with myrrh. "Song 5:13b "My lover has gone down to his garden, to the beds of spices, to browse in the gardens and to gather lilies. I am my lover's and my lover is mine; he browses among the lilies. "Song 6:2,3 "Your waist is a mound of wheat encircled by lilies. " Song 7:2b “I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily.” Hosea 14:5a
Once again the exact identification of "Lily of the Valley" requires the wisdom of Solomon in order to discern. The most commonly accepted candidate for the Lily of the Valley is Narcissus Poeticus. This is a familiar garden flower up to 20 in. high, with long sword-shaped leaves and very fragrant white flowers, having a short yellow trumpet and crisped red edge.
ROSE OF SHARON
"I am the Rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valley" Song of Songs 2:1
The same Hebrew word “chavatstzelet” is also mentioned in Isa 35:1-2 and translated there as crocus - “The wilderness and the desert will be glad, and the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; like the crocus. It will blossom profusely and rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. Unlike any other baby, the one born that night in Bethlehem was unique in all of history. He was not created by a human father and mother. He had a heavenly pre-existence (John 1:1-3, 14). He is God, the Son—Creator of the universe (Philippians 2:5-11). This is why Christmas is called the incarnation, a word which means “in the flesh.” In the birth of Jesus, the eternal, all-powerful and all-knowing Creator came to earth in the flesh.
Why would God do such a thing? Why would he come as a baby, instead of appearing in power and majesty? Why make himself a true man and live among us, when he knew full well how terribly he would be treated?

I love ministring the word of God, it's a very strong passion of mine. I wouldn't dare put a price on it, the best pay for me is; when I see someone come and surrender their lives to Christ, that's a feeling to me that can't be compared to any amount of money. I'm believing God for those type of musicians & worshippers someone that just want to see lives changed.
For the last two months we've been firing musicians that we have hired to play for our ministry. They were very good but you could tell they were just there for the money, they played with no passion for music nor ministry. But I notice the saved one's have a very strong passion and bring alot of Energy and Excitement to the Music Ministry, that pulled the Worshiper's & Congregation into a oneness with them.
Most paid musicians look at playing for a church as a job instead of a service, so most of the time you're going to get a disconnection with your services from your music ministry, because they are not there to connect but to get paid. So we're going to trust God for a Divine Connection regarding our music ministry and send us musicians that truly love him first and we will know them by the fruit they bear.
We currently have two Awesome Anointed keyboardist, a drummer, & lead guitarist. We are looking for a bass player & worship leaders.

There are hundreds of religions world-wide, so it is easy to see why people view the Christian doctrine of salvation as arrogant or narrow-minded. In an era of religious tolerance, who dares to have an exclusive claim on religious truth? As long as you’re preaching love, peace, and harmony, “You believe what you believe and I will believe what I believe, and we will get along just fine.” The sad reality is Christians who are labeled as “arrogant” or “narrow-minded” are only preaching the gospel message of Jesus Christ out of love and concern for others. The issue is serious and should not be taken lightly. We are talking about the eternal destination of souls – heaven or hell – eternal life after death.

Stop blaming God or defying Him for your own mistakes for he has not caused what you see today.
For it is your rejection of Him and your violence, immorality, adultery, immorality and sin is why you are where your at today.
And you not only care not to know Him but don’t even bother from your personal lifetime activities to even take the time out to recognize or come to know Him because you never even bothered to read what has been written much less spoken and these prophets and deciples and most of all Jesus Himself loves you so much they all including all the martyrs and saints laid down their lives and you say its a lie?
These persecutions still happen even today!
Most of you talk about your God given rights but yet you deny Him and choose violence as your answer and hatred as your methods something Gods true people do not recognize for our delieverer will save us and those that live by the sword will surely die by it for thats what Christ said so if you choose to fight whats coming means you are with the bad guys and don’t trust God in faith to deliver you as he did the Hebrews out of Egypt I sure hope you don’t fail the test.
Even when Christ came He was rejected by fools and blaspheemers He still came out of His love for you anyway so you could be saved from your own stupidity, arrogance and ignorance of the truth but yet you ridicule, blasphemy and continue to defy Him and utterly reject Him for there is no love found in your hearts only hatred and Satan has found his home in you rather than Christ.
Instead you ran to your idolatry and became lovers of yourselves and worshippers of serpents and your own achievements and your own righteousness saying “look what I can do” or “look at what I have done”
” I can do all things by myself for I have my own strength and wealth these are all the things I need in life!”
Choosing not to give God thanks and glory therefore being deserving of no mercy and grace from God choosing rather to being worshippers of yourself and your own beliefs, imagination, understanding, self righteousness, materialistic things, money, wealth and power and look at what your idolatry has brought to the world?
Instead you defied Him and went your own way and worshipped your own belief and figment of your own imagination therefore REPENT or face His wrath.
You will see!
All of you for “all will kneel before God some to eternal life and some into everlasting comtempt”
So watch what you say because you will see Him even if you never deserved it and by that time as it is also written and spoken it will be too late for you.
You people that blasphemy the Lord don’t know Him nor ever bothered to come to know Him probably never will unless you repent ask for the holy spirit and recieve Christ as your Lord and savior.
Pray for understanding by opening your heart in love to the lord and truly say you are sorry by turning from your wickedness and filth. For repentance is more than simply saying your sorry its also turning from your ways of wickedness and worship God the way He asked you to be worshipped thats why Jesus Christ came.
Then you can recieve the gift of the holyspirit then you will understand the living word of God and you will not be kept blind and deaf to the word and you will recieve the knowledge, wisdom and understanding to know God as it was meant to be since the foundation of the world. And you will not be lost to the word and what true christianity is all about without all the confusion from the antichrists and false doctrinal man made religions of babel that create the confusion and hatred you suffer from.
For these are doctrines of man and Satan. Doctrines of devils and demons made to confuse God’s people to make you lost and confused and an immense hatred for and disbelief in God it is all written and spoken there of.
Choose rather to be apostles for Christ rather than deciples of satan and worshippers of man.

God should be the number thing in your life and His many blessing can trickle down into everything you do in life when you do this. For I was a doubter too once but considering the times I thought I should share this with you when I took it for real finally in my life I have seen things happen that you would not believe much less understand for the non believer it was never meant for you to understand unless you have both the faith and the love for God in your heart that He manifest Himself and makes His presence known to you if you don’t have this He hides His face from you.
God is not ignorant “man” to change His mind for God is the ALMIGHTY anf He is spirit. The lesson man needs to learn is don’t expect God to meet you on your level he already did that as Christ. Now its your turn to seal the deal by coming to Him turn and be healed and be forgiven before its too late for we are closing in on the end of man control of this planet and Christ will come to claim what is His will you be saved?
Man always had a stumbling block on physical things and stopped short of seein is believing but can’t you see He did that already Jesus came in everyway as was written and spoken to the prophets fortold His own coming and all that leads up to it but He is still defied and shunned by the people he has always loved. Despised made fun of its like reliving the crucifixion all over again being chastized, beaten on, and spit in the face even true biblical christians are persecuted poked at made fun of and despised little has changed from then.
Just more hatred more violence and more war just what Satan wants from Gods people for them to fall short and fail so in the end you can see and look and say “my God what did I do and why did I do it?”

Question: "What is the plan of salvation / way of salvation?"
Answer: Are you hungry? Not physically hungry, but do you have a hunger for something more in life? Is there something deep inside of you that never seems to be satisfied? If so, Jesus is the way! Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty” (John 6:35).
Are you confused? Can you never seem to find a path or purpose in life? Does it seem like someone has turned out the lights and you cannot find the switch? If so, Jesus is the way! Jesus proclaimed, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).
Do you ever feel like you are locked out of life? Have you tried so many doors, only to find that what is behind them is empty and meaningless? Are you looking for an entrance into a fulfilling life? If so, Jesus is the way! Jesus declared, “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture” (John 10:9).

As Alex knows, telling the truth is an often thankless, dangerous business. The forces which keep people in misdirected ignorance of the truth are very powerful, so a Source even more powerful is needed to combat them. We have the most reliable assurances that soon, these wicked forces will be vanquished, regardless of human efforts. This is where we must realize the limitations of Alex’s view: for millenia, we as a race of humans on this planet have been attacked and abused by forces far more evil and cunning than we can fathom, and it has never been within our power to defeat this enemy on our own. It never was our right to rule ourselves independent of Divine direction, and the time for this 6000-plus year experiment in human independence is due to end, and soon. Those of us living in America have had it comparatively good for a long time, but we are soon to learn some bitter truths, one of which is that this country is not the shining beacon of freedom and light it has claimed to be for so long, even for its own citizens. Barack Obama is metaphoric for the hypocrisy of the human governmental enterprise in general: promising freedom, delivering slavery.
For those who actually understand what the Bible really teaches, and who actively share this knowledge with others, what we all are experiencing is a bracing reaffirmation that Big Things are indeed on the immediate horizon. The scriptures point to a short-lived attempt at world government, which will place everyone on earth under compulsion to serve it. They also describe how the world empire of false religion will soon be dissolved and pillaged by this beastly entity, as an expression of Divine judgement. Yes, we are in for dire times, but these are not to last for long, because as history’s most important government document testifies, we’re on the verge of the intervention of God’s kingdom in human affairs. (Daniel 2:44) The Bible describes in great detail how all the corrupt elements of this world; the political, religious and economic systems which have injuriously dominated mankind for so long, will be completely removed and replaced by a Divinely-appointed, righteous rule, with the power to effect real change: Wars made to cease. Wicked spirits vanquished. The earth’s regenerative powers allowed to heal the planet. Resurrection of the dead. A human family lifted up and placed on a course of eternal enjoyment, at last at peace with our loving Almighty Father.
The specifics of these Bible teachings can be learned free of charge, and are being shared by millions of volunteers in over 200 lands. Next time you’re approached by someone with the good news of God’s kingdom, why not find out more? The precious time to take in this knowledge is growing ever more compressed, so act without delay. The fact that you have, to a limited extent, seen through the facade of disinformation is to your credit; keep on though, and get the big picture. Get the Mind of God on all matters. As a result, you’ll be unstoppably equipped for the storm about to engulf us all, and you’ll make it through to the other side, all because you were meek enough to learn and then act.

Ecc 10:10 If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.
(NKJV) — If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.
When I was younger I used to take an ax and cut up firewood from the woods behind our house. The one thing I always did was sharpen my axe! A dull axe meant harder work chopping through fallen trees. The sharper the ax the less effort and energy required for the task. So I learned early on to sharpen my ax before venturing into the woods, and I saved myself a lot of time and energy. (Besides I was a small kid, growing up, so I needed all the help I could get! )
I see a lesson here. How many of us are exerting so much energy for the Kingdom, but are working with dull axes? We need to sharpen our spiritual lives, get focused in prayer and spend deep time in the Word. Then, when we are “out in the woods”, working for the Kingdom our effectiveness will be greatly multiplied because our axes are sharp!
Don’t get so busy that your ax becomes dull. Remember that your devotion to the Lord and His word will sharpen your spiritual life, especially before you start the day. Prioritize your devotional life and watch how your “edge” will cut through the problems, obstacles and difficult situations, like a hot knife through butter!

If you’re discouraged because of God’s delay in answering your prayers, understand the delay is NOT a denial. Just because the answer or the miracle hasn’t come – yet – that doesn’t mean God isn’t going to answer or that he’s forgotten you or that he doesn’t care about you. It simply means “not yet!”
Spiritual maturity is knowing the difference between “no” and “not yet,” between a denial and a delay. The Bible tells us, “He who is coming will come and will not delay” (Hebrews 10:37 NIV).

Would it matter if we didn’t exist at all? Or, did we have an identity before we existed? We learn God is good and the source of all existence, please explain how evil exists.
These are certainly interesting questions. First, I think it is fair to say that Scripture has nothing to say about pre conception. But it has a lot to say (from Genesis to Revelation) about after conception and birth. It seems to be God’s intention to bring us into relationship with him through Jesus so that we can be his image to the world that he has created and through us the world can also come to have relationship with him. I am not aware of Scripture saying anything about “if†it matters if we never existed.
Here are a couple of beginning thoughts on the source of evil. Sin was present in the universe before the Fall of Adam and Eve (Gen. 3:1f.; cf. John. 8:44; 2 Pet. 2:4; 1 John. 3:8; Jude 6). The Bible, however, does not deal directly with the origin of evil in the universe, being concerned rather with sin and its origin in human life (1 Tim. 2:14; Jas. 1:13f.).
The book of Jubilees (a book written around 150 BC) is a rewrite of Genesis 1 through Exodus 12 with a distinctive interest in presenting Torah as an eternal law inscribed on heavenly tablets, obeyed by the angels and the patriarchs themselves before Moses received the law on Mt. Sinai. Thus Abraham, Isaac and Jacob observe the feasts of Tabernacles and Firstfruits and the Day of Atonement (see Festivals and Holy Days: Jewish). The story of Jacob and Esau is intensified to the point that Jacob kills Esau, rather than being reconciled to him, stressing the contemporary tension between Jews and Idumeans (Edomites). Like 1 Enoch, this book locates the origin of evil in the revolt of Satan (see Belial, Beliar, Devil, Satan) and his angels rather than in Adam’s inherent weakness (cf. Paul and 4 Ezra). Jubilees looks for a return to strict Torah observance, which will precipitate a return to the enjoyment of pre-flood longevity, even to the destruction of death itself. (See Dictionary of New Testament Background).
Scripture does not seem to have an interest in answering where evil came from, only that God has solved the problem in the life of Jesus.

It's time to pray and cry out to God for the coming election. Will you join me?
I've had a burden for the state of our nation for a while. Because this is a pivotal election year, I am more concerned than ever before.
America is in serious trouble . . . but it's not because of the economy.
Headlines about gas prices and the job market don't frighten me as much as the recent news story about how the California Supreme Court opened the door to same-sex marriage in the state.
It's a symptom of our nation's crumbling spiritual and moral foundation.
God's Word asks, "If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?" (Psalm 11:3 NKJV).
Sexual perversion, immorality and a lack of values in America's leadership threaten the future of our nation. I don't want my children and yours growing up in a faithless culture.
So, what can the righteous do? PRAY AND FAST.
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV).
Not only do we have a responsibility to fast and pray for our leaders, but as Americans we also have the right to help elect our leaders.
The vote for leadership this fall is critical. We don't need a leader who follows the wind of popular culture, but one who will hold to the great foundations of this nation.
We need a Godly leader who will fight for the core issues of life and family!
I want to encourage you to prayerfully vote for the candidate who most reflects Godly character. The next leader of our nation will not only impact our lives today, but will also affect future generations.
More than anything, America needs Godly leaders. Join me in prayer and fasting for the coming presidential election.

Guys, have you ever seen a drop dead gorgeous girl walk by and a friend had to pick your jaw up off the floor? Ladies, has a fine looking man ever strutted past and you've just stood there with your eyes bugging out? Have you ever seen anything so mind-blowing that it just left you stupefied and speechless?
If you said yes to any of these questions, then you have a small sense of what it means to be in awe of someone. We may even describe those people or events as awesome but that is just a bit of what true awesomeness is like. God is truly awesome. He is worthy of us greatly admiring him.
Psalms 33:8b - Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
The dictionary defines awe as "an emotion variously combining dread, veneration, and wonder". The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia describes awe as "fear mingled with reverence and wonder, a state of mind inspired by something terrible or sublime". It goes on to describe how the underlying word is translated in various ways but in almost all cases, "the word stands for man's attitude of reverential fear toward God. This is the characteristic attitude of the pious soul toward God in the Scriptures, especially in the Old Testament. It arises from a consciousness of the infinite power, sublimity and holiness of God, which fills the mind with the 'fear of the Lord,' and a dread of violating His law."
As I read in the book of Revelation of his glory and magnificence that will one day be revealed to the whole world, I marvel. I stand there stupefied. I wonder to myself how be it that I serve this king and do it so grudgingly at times? How is it that I can turn my affections from him and towards sin? How can I look at pornography when I have before me a picture of my God and King? How can I treat others poorly when I represent him on earth? How can I sit and watch mindless hours of TV when the creator of the universe wants to speak to me if only I will stop and listen?
Take some time today to dwell on his splendor and majesty. You cannot help but be awe-struck. Then just stand there before the Lord in silence and be amazed. Think of who he is; study his nature. Then live for Him.

I've always enjoyed watching celebrity news shows, or reading magazine interviews about famous people. I never thought it was hurting me; it was something mindless and relaxing. Out of the blue, I began feeling convicted to not watch those type of programs, and to stop reading celebrity interviews. I was getting absorbed with entertainment news. Not that I was envious of those that lived that way. It was intriguing, but it was also gossip about a group of people who didn't glorify God (for the most part). My focus on it was keeping me from fully connecting with God.
What will it hurt, if I tune in to hear what a star named her newborn? Who was I to think I knew better than God! Even though I clearly felt God was telling me to give that stuff up, I didn't immediately. It filled my curiosity factor, but didn't lead me to peace. Finally, I obeyed God and stopped wondering how the other half lived. When I gave up reading and listening to entertainment news, I believed I was missing out on something - at first. Now I feel I have gained the knowledge that I can tell my flesh "no" and still survive. The act of obedience has also renewed my commitment and reverence to God.

"And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon a heap." (Joshua 3:13).
Brave Levites! Who can help admiring them, to carry the Ark right into the stream; for the waters were not divided till their feet dipped in the water (ver. 15). God had not promised aught else. God honors faith. "Obstinate faith," that the PROMISE sees and "looks to that alone." You can fancy how the people would watch these holy men march on, and some of the bystanders would be saying, "You would not catch me running that risk! Why, man, the ark will be carried away!" Not so; "the priests stood firm on dry ground." We must not overlook the fact that faith on our part helps God to carry out His plans. "Come up to the help of the Lord."
The Ark had staves for the shoulders. Even the Ark did not move of itself; it was carried. When God is the architect, men are the masons and laborers. Faith assists God. It can stop the mouth of lions and quench the violence of fire. It yet honors God, and God honors it. Oh, for this faith that will go on, leaving God to fulfill His promise when He sees fit! Fellow Levites, let us shoulder our load, and do not let us look as if we were carrying God's coffin. It is the Ark of the living God! Sing as you march towards the flood! --Thomas Champness
One of the special marks of the Holy Ghost in the Apostolic Church was the spirit of boldness. One of the most essential qualities of the faith that is to attempt great things for God, and expect great things from God, is holy audacity. Where we are dealing with a supernatural Being, and taking from Him things that are humanly impossible, it is easier to take much than little; it is easier to stand in a place of audacious trust than in a place of cautious, timid clinging to the shore.
Like wise seamen in the life of faith, let us launch out into the deep, and find that all things are possible with God, and all things are possible unto him that believeth.

With Jesus through the Storms of Life -- Anonymous, 15:09:48 07/20/06 Thu
St Mark's words might express the feelings of many people of shaky faith or none. When the storms of life rage overhead, people often can't keep themselves from a word of protest:
Where is God when I need him most?
After all, God is supposed to be at the helm of the ship. That's God's job. Instead, he sometimes seems comfortably sheltered from the maelstrom of human concerns. Perhaps he's just dozing. His captaincy sometimes seems hidden from view.
The disciples ask Jesus,
Do you not care?
Lots of people in our day ask God the same question. Is it any wonder? A captain at rest while his ship is going down would shake anyone's confidence.
Most of us are probably too far removed form the perils of the sea to enter easily into the fear expressed by the disciples. These days the storms of life confront us in different ways. Concern about a sick or dying friend, worries about keeping our jobs and supporting our families, anxiety that we'll just be taken for granted, fear that we'll be left alone, that those whom we love will turn out unfaithful.
Sensitivity to wider world issues only adds to the storms that hover threateningly over human lives: governments that appear unable to tell the truth, wars that cease only to be continued by other means, racial or religious strife that rises, an environment that groans, people everywhere suffering and going without.
In such stormy conditions, even very faithful believers might want to lodge a protest with God:
Do you not care? We are going down!
The psalmist more than once did just that:
Rouse thyself! Why sleepest thou, O Lord. Awake! Do not cast us off forever (44:23).
We're not told whether he too received a rebuke from the Lord. But it's not the psalmist's lack of faith that motivates this wake-up call to God. On the contrary, it is because he has a sure confidence that the Lord alone can help him that he calls upon him.
The disciples had to learn who Jesus was, who this one was whom 'even the wind and sea obey'. The Christian believer is not without the same need to learn. So what's lacking if, in our fear, we sometimes feel like God doesn't care?
Perhaps it comes down to the question of what we really want from God. Or better, what God really wants most to give us. Most believers will readily admit that Jesus shows tremendous care for his people. God cares. Just after this scene in Mark's Gospel we see him casting out demons, healing a woman who has been in pain for twelve years, raising Jairus's daughter to life.
He has already gained notoriety for insisting that the law should serve people, not enslave them, for promising freedom to prisoners, for defending the widow and the orphan. This is not a man, nor a God, who remains aloof from the human condition. After all, he too is in the storm-tossed boat with his disciples!
There's always, though, something more to his mission than sheer activism. It's his complete and entire confidence in God the Father. This is perhaps no more beautifully portrayed in the Gospels than in the image we have today of a man of such confidence that in the midst of the storms of life he is able to lay a tired head on a cushion and fall asleep.
When the storms of life rage all round us, which one of us would be so heartless as to deny a child of God that rest which alone comes with complete childlike confidence? That's what God wants to give us.
Of course God cares. Jesus stirs himself from his slumbers, rebukes the wind, and silences the sea. His little boat and its scared passengers reach the other side safely. There remains but the unhappy memory of another failure in faith on the part of the disciples.The wind and the sea receive from the once sleeping Lord a mild rebuke by comparison with the one he saves for his closest followers:
Why are you so frightened? How is it that you have no faith?
It must have been little consolation to them that they made it through the storm. 'We failed the test but at least we survived shipwreck.'
Christian faith is about much more than surviving shipwreck through the storms of life. It's about believing confidently that the journey ends well. And that's a cushion we can all sleep on.

The Muslim looks forward to eternity in Paradise where there will be virgins who are used for eternal perpetual copulation.
The Bible believing Christian looks forward to being with Jesus Christ and is delighted with that. (2 Corinthians 5:8).
Mohammed said the witness of a woman was half the value of the witness of a man; and Muhammed said a woman goes to Paradise because she satisfies her husband sexually; The Bible teaches that a husband is to love his wife and be willing to die for her. (Ephesians 5:25).

Many people can sit and argue about this topic for the longest but, I truly think no one can have the same anotinting nor power as Jesus.In Mark 16 the women were worried about how they could anoint Jesus' body with that great stone sealing the door. But when they arrived they found the stone had already been rolled away. However, Jesus has a knowing anointing, man has to sometimes questin himself. I must say I agree with Dr. Steib on this, God is a wonder and there is n one on the face of this earthh that can take his place in my heart.But, hope all of you that disargee do some more studying and find the correct answer. All males are sons of God, and all females are daughters of God. Note that Jesus is reported as having said (Matt 5:9) that all peacemakers are sons of God, and see also John 1:12-13. It says nothing about children of God being anointed.

If we cannot or do not have access by faith to the same anointing Jesus has what do we do with the scripture in I John that says "he that says he abides in Him ought Himself also to walk even as He walked." If our only calling in the earth is to walk merely as forgiven natural men(sinners saved by grace)we will still fall short of the Glory of God. But if we "walk by faith and not by sight" i.e. walking in HIS presence at all times then what Jesus said in John 14th chapter becomes operative for us. Long before Paul came about the Gospel WAS WRITTEN! How could the Gospel had been proclaimed through Paul before the other diciples when he used to persecute the church? (Acts 22:5-7), 1 Timothy 13:-19) The Pentecostal movement in the book of Acts 2. The miracles of Jesus in the 4 books of the New Testament was done far before Paul came into the picture. How could it happen AFTER Paul. How could Paul witness the Gospel BEFORE Jesus and the diciples? You are a crazy pagan nut with nothing better to do but start an argument here.

There are four "official" gospels. They were written many years after Paul wrote his letters.

The 4 gospels were written anonymously (without an author's name attached), but later the names of disciples/apostles were attached to these gospels; there were many people called John. Of importance is not who wrote what, but what was it that Jesus taught and wanted, and to what extent those who SAY that they are "actually" following Jesus, NOW in the 21st century, actually do so.

How wrong you are! God, the father of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob does NOT need to add any name on the Bible. John was the son of Zebedee as in the book of Matthew. The 1st Chapter of Matthew shows the ancestry of Jesus all the way back to Adam. Even if the Bible did mention last names, skeptics would still claim they were made up amd make up other excuses not to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What was written about in the 4 Gospel was spread by word of mouth in the begining. It was later written down on scrolls. Luke was not even one of the original disciples.
The Bible does say if you call another an idiot, you are in danger of hellfire. That is one of the teachings of Jesus.
When I come upon stuff like this coming form the mouth of professing christians, it make me feel ashame to be called one. All of you need to study a little more at the foot of Christ before you getting on the net and spouting your hate filled words. Jesus would NEVER have spoken to a fellow human being in such an ugly manner. No wonder that so many young people now-a-day feel the Christian coummnity is something to avoid and are turning more and more to pagan and New Age teaching. A sister in Christ

he historic record of the birth of Christ can be found in Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke 2:1-20.
Unlike any other baby, the one born that night in Bethlehem was unique in all of history. He was not created by a human father and mother. He had a heavenly pre-existence (John 1:1-3, 14). He is God, the Son—Creator of the universe (Philippians 2:5-11). This is why Christmas is called the incarnation, a word which means “in the flesh.” In the birth of Jesus, the eternal, all-powerful and all-knowing Creator came to earth in the flesh.
Why would God do such a thing? Why would he come as a baby, instead of appearing in power and majesty? Why make himself a true man and live among us, when he knew full well how terribly he would be treated?

Jesus never states that he is God. John 10:31 states “I and my father are one” Christ does not state that he is God but that he and his father are one in their purpose. It is a figure of speech like "I am one with nature." I do not call myself nature. John 8:58 “Before Abraham was, I am”. ??
John 5:18 "And for this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath. But He answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working. For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God." The Jews were saying he was making himself equal to God. Jesus did not state that he was God. By calling one your Father does not make you equal to them. John 14:9 Jesus said: "He who has seen Me has seen the Father" Another figure of speech - not to see him as God but to have seen the works of God through him.
