These are my own personal rules for selecting a judging board: We will have 4 to 5 judges, I am unsure as of yet...at least 4 no more than 5! Of our judges, one will be a novice (NEVER judged on the national level before)so we can get a new, pageant-free perspective, and at least 2 will be married women so we can get a married woman's perspective. At least one will be a celebrity judge (known throughout the pageant world and whose name should be familiar to each of you). Our judges will be asked to look for the ENTIRE package...a TOTAL woman! Here is a breakdown: 50% Interview: This will be a 5-minute Panel Interview and, unlike many other Mrs Pageants, this will actually count towards your final score! You will need a businessy skirt or pantsuit and clear or flesh-toned heels, you may wear jewelry and MUST wear your wedding ring! Judges will be asked to judge you on: 25 points--communication skills 25 points--projection of personality *************************************** 30% Gown: You should select a floor-length gown that compliments your positive qualities. You will be judged on: 10 points--poise, modeling ability, on-stage personality. 10 points--choice of style,color, fit of gown 10 points--overall beauty & elegance. *************************************** 10% Fitwear: You should select an aerobic or workout outfit without any midrif showing...no thongs or flesh-colored tights allowed. You can wear sheer pantyhose. Judges will be looking for: 5 points--poise, modeling ability, on-stage personality. 5 points--overall beauty, fit of outfit & health. Do NOT fear this competition...own it, have fun with it! *************************************** 10% On-Stage Question: After fitwear but before gown competition, contestants will will be asked a question on-stage. The question will be NOT be religious or politically inclined. Contestants should wear their interview outfits. 5 points---Quality of Answer to Question 5 points---Poise Under Pressure GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS LADIES! YOU CAN DO THIS!
