Pageantry has offered my child many opportunities. A few of these opportunities are: INTERACTING WITH SO MANY WONDERFUL CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, TO ACHEIVE HER GOALS, A CHANCE TO TRAVEL, PERFORM, BUILD CONFIDENCE, IT IS TOUGH AT TIMES BUT NEVER STOP BELIEVING IN HERSELF, FOLLOW HER DREAMS, NOT TO TRY TO BEAT OUT THE OTHER CONTESTANT BUT ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST, PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, PLAN, PREPARE, ENCOUNTER SOME OF LIFE EXPERIENCES(YOU WIN SOME AND YOU LOOSE SOME). There are many negative aspects that the media are bringing out and a lot of the reasoning behind this is because of the way some people on these boards are reacting because of their own reasonings? But I ask you why be involved in this sport if you see it as so negative? Pageants are not held so everyone can bash them or bash an innocent child. They are held for the reasonings I have stated above. Treat others the way you expect to be treated because as the old saying goes what comes around goes around twice as bad. So whether or not you bash if this person is in the wrong they will get repayed. Why bash and ruin others opportunites? Those of you who are bashing are probably wondering why I am writing this, no I am not a cry baby! A few days ago I was completely shocked to find out that my daughter was on different boards being bashed. I was even more shocked when I seen what was being said about other children and parents. I believe people are going way out of line. Everyone is taught something new everyday so here is your lesson. A win for a child is a win for a child not over another contestant. Beauty is within every smile! A child who competes with spirit and confidence should be looked up to and admired. Why take this away? You people who are bashing are not only hurting others but everyone and everything that surrounds YOU and these other people. REMEMBER THESE LESSONS THE TIME YOU COME TO POST OR REPLY!!!
