Whether you use your real name or a pseudonym, I can't fathom why anyone would be concerned what a bunch of messageboard users would think of it.

If you claim that one is a coward for "hiding" behind a pseudonym, that necessarily implies that there is risk in revealing one's true name. What risk is that? I don't think there is anyone here thin-skinned enough to give a rat's ass about what a bunch of messageboard posters think. I don't think anyone here is concerned about an internet reputation, of all things. No one here is running for public office, after all. I fail to see any risk at all for posting naughty things using your own name.

Except this: there are actually imbeciles out there (now these people are true cowards) moronic and amoral enough to rat out a messageboard poster to his employer. Even if the poster is posting on his own time, with his own server, about his own topics, there will be the dipshits out there who will pull this crap to see what negative consequences they can generate for a messageboard poster they don't happen to like.

This is the risk of posting on a messageboard with your personal information. Trust me, these friggin morons exist.

"RW"
