All Bush is doing is trying to ride a wedge issue and hope to get re-elected. The real point is he knows there is nothing to constitutionally deny gay marriages. In other words, the Constitution is inadequate as it is now written. Whether Gavin Newsom is breaking the law or not will be decided in court. His position is that the California constitution supports marriage rights for all and the law prohibiting gay marriages is in violation of the constitution. We'll see.

Beyond that, this political "amendment" Bush pretends to give a shit about is laughable. Not only would it deny rights to one group of people but, in doing so, would confer special rights on another group. Name me one other part of the constitution that does this. Anyway, I thought you reactionary assholes were dead-set against special rights for specific groups.

Why do you give a fuck if gays marry. Let's assume no more than 10% of the population is gay. Maybe 30% of them will choose to marry. That's no more than 3% of all marriages that are gay marriages. Why the fucking hell should you give a crap? The other 97% of marriages will continue to be good, bad or horrible, regardless. This is about rights, not some tight-assed evangelical, snake-handling view of "morality." Give up.

Finally, get the hell out of here and stop trying to turn this page into a "debate" forum. The other page is the debate forum and you are exiled from it for being an insecure, distracting, ingrate of a train wreck. You are a cheap-shit propagandist, not a debater. You are a whining, self-pitying nutcase who should be getting professional help right now instead of indulging an internet addiction.
