Scott, let's be clear -- you told it like you think it is. Others are not obligated to accept your perception of things, nor is your perception somehow guaranteed to be accurate.

You got teased, Scott. That's about it, nothing more. Going on and on like Queer and Dash were actually libeling you is melodramatic, excessive and absurd. That is what is causing you problems.

Nobody ignored "brazen lies". There were none to ignore. There was, however, brazen teasing. As a moderator, I can't see why I would give a rat's hind end if one boardmember is teasing another with exaggerations, or (gasp) even "lies". We're all adults here, we can handle our own problems. None of it actually matters, and nobody cares, nor should they.

Scott, step back for a second and replace "Rosie" with the word "Scott" in that sentence. Repeat it to yourself. Does it sound weird, maybe unfamiliar? If the idea that your perceptions could be possibly be wrong is alien to you, that should be a big red alert and a significant clue to how things went wrong for you here.

She's been a great moderator. The only flame wars that I can think of involved you, which again is another clue to add to our case. And in banning you, Rosie did what a moderator should do. She put a damper on the flame wars. Meanwhile, some level of "flaming" is a good thing for a messageboard, keeping things hopping and interesting. Rosie usually keeps about the right mix.

How can that be if you're banned? And if you're posting in the Arena, where it's open season on everyone all the time, how is this specific to you?

Rosie has said nothing about abandoning or anarchy, so this statements leave me puzzled. As for me, I'd rather be on a board where I am free to take care of myself rather than having a rescuer step in to save me. If you prefer a board where a tight lid is kept on things, I know that there are many out there.

The fact that you think people hate you (how can one "hate" someone they've never met, on a messageboard of all things? the very idea is nuts) is another clue to a self-understanding of your behavior here, Scott. For all I can tell, you want and like being a victim. Maybe I'm wrong, but I see all the signs. Your "everybody hates me" stance is all too common in those kind of folks. In my experience, rational well-adjusted adults do not take this position.

Sometimes I've seen you pose good responses that, even though I didn't agree with them, I respected and thought added value to the debate. But the notion that you think you "obliterate" others' arguments again is overblown and, well, not very adult. Do adults actually say this in debate?

I know you've said you're leaving many times and you came right back every time. But in the unlikely event that you actually are going, I am sorry to see you leave. I know you're a young guy and you still have a lot of living and learning to do, so I wish the best for you.
