In reply to: Steph 's message, "And may all your Christmases be white" on 22:10:44 12/19/03 Fri

The Friday afternoon e-mail goes something like this:

Hi!

Ok guys, sorry for the confusion but this is what I
know. Love Actually is no longer on at ABC, they are
now showing RotK.

Choosing a new film would give me another head ache so
I am going to to take an executive decision, veto
Steph and say Robins is fine, they're showing **Love
Actually at 5:50pm this coming Tuesday 23rd
December**.

Robins Theatre is in Bath next to the Theatre Royal
Stage Door, I realise this may not help people much so
here are my somewhat dodgy directions from the train
station:-
Leave the stationand follow the road to the left past
a few bus stops until you get to the Euro Car Park.
On the road opposite is a Boots entrance, cross the
road and walk past the Boots down a ramp into a
shopping centre type thing (covered area with shops)
on your left.
Go straight through this and you should be on the main
shopping street in Bath, with MacDonalds, MotherCare
and Superdrug opposite you.
Turn right and walk up the street past th BHS home
Store, M&S HMV, The Pump rooms and carry on up past
Clarks WHSmiths, Next and Lush.
You should now be at a road, turn left down this road
past, Cafe Nero and follow it to the end where the
Theatre Royal should be pretty obvious.
Just to the left of the theatre as you face it is a
small path and the Robin's Cinema is on the right hand
side.
I hope these are ok/right. I've not been to bath
myself for 3 months now so things may have
changed/been forgotton.
If anyone gets lost my mobile number is 07759152820,
and I should be in bath from 5:30 ish as thats when
the bus gets in.

I would suggest meeting outside the cinema at 5:45 to
give people time to get lost/tickets/good seats.
Tickets are £4.50 adult, and its a 15 so i doubt
they'd be too impressed by anyone claimimg to want a
child ticket.

Running time is supposedly 2hrs 15mins so we should be
out at 8:05pm.

This is the difficult bit, but here goes I think we
have a maximum of 10 people going (Me, Chloe, Darz,
Dave, Matt, Meg, Shula, Steph, Stephen, Toby). This
will fit in 2 cars, if at least one person on the list
drives. I don't know what state people are in with
regard to cars, but given that we want to be there
*for* 6 traffic could well be quite bad this close to
Christmas, around closing time, but I think we're
mostly going the opposite way to people and people
will be mostly leaving the car parks so parking
*shouldn't* be too much of a problem. So, lonag and
short, if only one person can both get there hands on
a car and can drive, then I may well be able to
persuade my dad to pick us up, and he has room for 6
passengers, and if 2 people can then we're ok and if
we have 3 or more we're fine. I have been informed
that Darz is skiing atm, I have no idea when/if he's
coming back or coming with us so unless anyone else
has passed their test responses from Stephen and Dave
will be gratefully received...espesh if they say they
can drive :).

Directions to my house will be given to those who
require it, possibly pointing at a map, possibly just
being told to follow the car I'm in.

Parking at mine isn't really a problem we live in a
small cul-de-sac and the street it joins onto isnt
very major at all.

We should get to my house by 840/845. Mince pies,
mulled wine and other nibbles will be provided ( I
know people are pretty good about this but mum says no
mulled wine for drivers) as I'm going to assume people
have had their tea before they came out.

At this point most planning breaks down other than I
believe Steph is bringing her risk i think? and we
have a piano, and a small piano book of christmas
carols/songs (the only one Ive ever been able to play
was we three kings) so if people want to bring more
then great.

I think the normal finish time of midnight is a good
idea/what I've agreed with my parents.

I think I'm going to say work it out among yourselves
how you get home I think, as it will most likely be
easier that way anyway. If required maps of westwood
itself and where my house is can be sent, but I assume
people can get out a map and find westwood on it. My
house is 24 The Pastures

I think that's just about it, sorry it took so long
coming but I was distracted by shopping and driving
lessons...oh well best laid plans etc.....actually
craply laid plans cos I can't remeber what Im supposed
to be doing ever. Responses would be great so I know
who to wait for outside the cinema, and knowing who
can drive.

xXx

p.s. If there's anyone/anything people think I have
forgotton please don't hesitate to call me a
thicko......and tell me what it is obviously.....

p.p.s Can anyone who has contact with Steph tell her
a)that her new email just bounced my last 2
emails,b)to get an email adress that works c) whats
going on

Also, I strongly suggest we go into Bath earlier, and spend some time looking for pointless yet fun birthday presents for Darz. Tell me what you think.

TCH
