The problem there was that Paulette was always jealous of anyone who came between her and JD. She wanted Hafan to be her and JD, anyone else she saw as a threat to her. This led to her seeing things from a very odd viewpoint. Of course Peter Adams saw this and played on her for all he was worth. She took the rap for a lot of the unpleasantness caused by him. Alan knew this of course and let it happen as he let eveything happen. He is the owner of the company and he will have to take responsibility legally now and morally at a later date. If he really has the beliefs he says he has about karma and spirituallity, he should be quaking by now at the thought of explaining all he caused,either through action or ignoring others actions, to the highest power.
