Courtney Love lost the latest round of her custody battle last week, when a Los Angeles Juvenile Court judge ordered the singer out of her own house so that her daughter could move back in. Frances Bean Cobain, the 11-year-old daughter of Love and late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, was placed in the care of her paternal grandmother, Wendy O'Connor, following Love's arrest on drug charges and subsequent overdose on October 2. According to the New York Daily News, a judge ruled at a hearing last Tuesday (October 21), that Love must move out of her Beverly Hills home so that Frances and her nanny can return.

Frances will be supervised by Love's stepfather, Frank Rodriguez, and an aunt, although Love says she has been granted regular visits.

Love told the News that she and O'Connor shoved and slapped each other at the Juvenile Court hearing last week, although Love's account of the confrontation remains uncorroborated. Love also claims that O'Connor has restricted her access to Frances. Relations between Love and her mother-in-law have reportedly been strained since Love's arrest.

Love could face up to a year in prison if convicted of the drug charges. She is scheduled for arraignment this Friday (October 31).
