Each of the Gospel writers adds details not included by the others. By studying the four accounts, we can know what happened almost hour by hour.
Matt 26:2 "You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion." NASU
The way I see this scripture is that two days before Passover “the plans” were being made abduct Yahsuhua – note in the verse “is to be handed over” it does not say he was handed over.
Also look at Matt 26:17 Now the disciples asked Yahsuhua on the first day of Unleavened Bread where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover. – They would not have been able to ask that question if he was already crucified
Matt 26:17 Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?" NASU
Each Gospel will yield clues to what and when things happened – an outline of these events using all four Gospels will help keep the events straight in your head and answer questions you have from other scriptures
The basis of what we do concerning Nissan 14 communion comes from a lot of scriptures in both the Old and New Testaments – from both the Gospels and the Epistles – but they all reference a Nissan 14 communion of Bread – Cup – and foot washing – but we must first understand which day was the last Supper on and which day Yahsuhua was crucified and which day He was resurrected on – once we understand that we can move on to the events of the Nissan 14 communion.
