i'm a male,
but i like the movie very much
i'm not a homosexual but i can see myself into Pauline
i also lost a girl, ok not for the same reason as in the movie, it's not about being lesbian or not, but at that time i felt exactly the same as Pauline

to talk about the lesbian thing, i'm afraid it has alot to do with the country ( and so: culture) you are living in
i'm from Belgium (europe), and in Belgium a girl loving a girl is as normal as a girl loving a boy

i cant say i know america well, but from what i see and hear, it's a very conservative country ( not all americans offcourse) but i'm afraid that's a big problem and it's sad for all those people who are gay

science has proven there are even homosexual animals, those animals dont turn their back to eachother if they are loving someone of the same sex

the biggest, and only, problem is culture, and the meddlesome people

so, to get back to the subject: because of that some people in some countries, indeed turn their head when reading it's about "lesbian" but it's their problem, right

just ignore those silly people, and enjoy your life, with a girl or a boy, doesnt matter, it's all about LOVE right ;-)
