Subject: Tori might not really love Paulie

I know this might sound almost impossible but i finished the movie with my heart feeling all out for Paulie. It's either the actress who starred as Tori didnt express the feeling she has for paulie or the director chose not to focus on the pain TORI herself must be going through if she's truly in love with Paulie. I mean if you truly really wholeheartedly love someone, even if you have to leave that someone because you have no choice, your heart will break, you will shed tonnes of tears even if it's secretly, you will feel your heart ripping apart when you see the one you LOVE going berserk because you CHOSE to leave her.

I mean we all saw how happy/sweet the two of them look together initially. But letting a guy f*** you right on the first date just to prove to others that you're not a lesbian? Or was it a desparate attempt for her to prove to herself? Hell, i will never ever sleep with someone else ON THE FIRST DATE even if i cant be together with the one i love. But yes, i know some do. It's like an escape. Like a physical detachment to psycho yourself that the relationship with the one you love had ended.

And at those scenes whereby Paulie was going crazy during class, during lunch breaks, during the dance, there wasnt really much pain showed in Tori's eyes. Technically, your heart is supposed to break to see the one you love falling apart and on the brink of insanity because of you. So i dont know if the pain wasnt shown on Tori's eyes becuz Lea Pool wanted to focus on Paulie's pain instead. Still i would have bought the story that it was a tragic TRUE love (meaning mutual) if pain was showned on the both girls' side.

Like both of them couldnt sleep after Tori let Jake f*** her, so it was a good portrayal. But when Paulie jumped down from the building, it you realised though it was Tori who screamed, it was Mary who had tears in her eyes and who said "please.." and i thought i saw relief on Tori's face as they all watched the felcon flying, which doesnt make sense. She's not supposed to feel relieved if she truly loves Paulie, at least not AT THE MOMENT when the one you love just jumped down and died for love becuz from what i can recall, the rest didnt look too relieved. (i'm assuming Paulie died)

So yea, i finished the movie, feeling really angry at Tori. In my opinion, i thought the matter of comforming to norms and family/society's expectation can be handled more delicately on te Tori's side. I have got no complaint for Paulie's side. (which i think the director must have focused too much on Paulie) and the acting done by Piper was just simply excellent and perfect. I've never seen a movie as beautiful as this, but really i'll give most of the credits to Piper. She brought out the character like her own AND make it her own. It was really simply amazing. I watched Imagine you and me 2 years ago and i didnt think much of her back then but THIS was breath taking. And yes i do agree of some of the movie critics of how this movie din recieve the credits that it deserved.
