Love is the feeling of completion. We all want to feel complete, so many of us seek love our whole life, and may or may not find you soulmate. When you get one real breath of it, you want to drink it all in and it courses through every vein, every artery. After awhile, when you're in love, you become love. You are content to give everything and get nothing in return to make the one you love happy. You feel satisfied knowing you did something all by yourself that made your lover happy. You would die for them, bleed oceans and cry rivers for them.
There is a difference between love and infatuation, but most of us don't see it at first. I believe when you really love someone, even when they're gone, your love remains unaltered. Because if your love leaves when that person left, it wasn't really love.
I believe Tori loved Paulie in this way [we all know Paulie loves Tori this way], but was overcome by society and familiar pressures, that she hid it away. And when she did that, she secretly died inside. After she was discovered with Paulie, she was less vibrant more and more in the movie. She lived a lie in herself the more she denied her love to Paulie.
