Subject: Poor City, Big Salaries to CC

One citizen at Monday's CC meeting brought up a good point. Why are we looking at what to cut from a previous year? Why aren't we looking at what we have to spend and determine our budget entirely from our income and resources? It's quite a simple accounting practice. Feel bad about people losing jobs? Then get out of the corporate world and go work for a social organization. The shareholders/taxpayers pay to have the municipal corporation provide services not to find ways to go into more debt.

Not enough resources? Then invest in a viable economic development engine. The millions of dollars of wasted money in that department has stifled the expansion of our tax revenues. McKenna was kept on because it was easier than reviewing his non-productivity to find someone else. He publicly dated one of the executive secretaries to keep it all in the family. Where is he now?
