You're emphasizing that Race is Critical. Not the opposite as intended I assume. Or was it? Indeed, it's important to teach history from different perspectives. Humanity of all races and creeds did/do atrocities, let's get it all out, not just the nastiness of one race. (There is not one monolithic white identity or race.) So when the real Lincoln is called out let's call out how West African individuals were selling their countrymen into slavery. That said, within the current social environment the cop-out is a rejection of all standards of achievement, of intellectual merit and all of the most basic requirements for a civil society, on the basis of being characteristics of a "white" society. This lowering of the bar to achieve "equitableness" has twisted victimhood into a virtue. "Diversity" has been politically weaponized to the point of segregation, as it is focused on the traits of which people were born with ...essentially rendering "equality" a non-starter. It's the culmination of 'the long march trhrough institutions' manifesting into the examples of the 'repressive tolerance', aka "peaceful" protests, we are experiencing today. The evils of Marxism. True freedom requires personal responsibilty, it's easier for the marginalized to assign "change" to the Nanny State.
