Here, here. Equity firms have bought and packaged the burgh for the taking. It's been a thought out intricate process, that has been made complicit by money hungry, unintelligent politicians. Smart ones like Mejia, and a dead one like Kennedy, who were all complicit in the taking of Newburgh. Now sit back and watch this lawsuit decimate the cities finances. With no human resource manager in place, how do you expect a discrimination suit not to be filed, when there are no checks and balances in place? When you step into the big leagues, in terms of revitalization, this is part of the process, hopefully Newburgh changes for the better in terms of job, gender and race relations. One thing that is for sure, as long as there is money, it will be more problems, especially if discriminatory practices are being initiated. As stated before, checks and balances should have been in place to head off such a suit. I bet now a human resource manager and or firm will be put in place for matters such as this, not to happen in the future.
