Newburgh has made it's discriminatory bed, and now it will have to lie in it. Garrison has 9 lives, that old cat has survived a myriad of workplace issues involving employees. And lawsuits to go to match. He must have a Edgar J. Hoover dossier on a lot of people in city hall. I wonder if he is going to retire? Look into how much Newburgh has paid for the negligence of racist employees. Now after the news broke that Donat and council were aware of the impending lawsuit well before his contract renewal was shockingly denied. This city government knows how to try and evade scandal, at the cost of the citizen. Seems like this is just the tip of the iceberg, I can imagine more employees coming forward, with horrifying discriminatory practices, that have gone unchecked for years. What is done in the past, comes out in the present. Hopefully, Newburgh can grow from this all too common theme of discrimination against those perceived as lesser, based on the treatment by so called department heads.
