Yes paid, but not because they won the case, only because the city settled as they always do.
At any rate, just because accusations are made doesn't make them true. We still have due process in this country. We shall see but I'm not willing to believe nonsense about someone I know personally without hard core proof. What was stated in the article left much to be desired.
