I'm curious how the local court(s) will rule on evictions. The cdc's "new" moratorium applies for another 60 days. The Supreme Court had ruled that the cdc has no authority to do so. The work around is that the cdc ruling is a "new" moratorium on evictions and not an "extension" of the prior one. The S.C.'s handling regarding the moratorium in general and allowing it to extend to its expiration on aug 1, 21 is a tell, imo. So it's back to the S.C. or to congress to make the moratorium legal. This will take time, hence the "new" moratorium being issued @ the eleventh hour. Regardless, welcome to serfdom...xxxooo, Blackstone.
