I can only speak for myself on the subject of who is the “Best Man” to lead this Country in 2009. I am sure I have made up my mind and there is very little you can say that will change my opinion. I write this to say our local problems are so great that we should take a little time to figure how we as a community are going to survive these hard times we will surely encounter. City residents or Townies or New Windsorites, we are all effected. Every day properties are being foreclosed on by the banks or up for REM for failure to pay your taxes. In the City of Newburgh I would like to know of the taxes expected to foot the 2008 budget in the amount of $12,0004,562 (Total tax levy) how much was collected? The summary of Budget Revenues and appropriations for 2008 was $56,634,439.00 how much of that was real? We should pay attention and be prepared to ask the right questions. Our financial security is in jeopardy, pay attention.
