You are so right...Yaniyah Pearson should go, but not for the reason stated. It isn't about salary, it is about incompetence. The woman is in over her head and has been since day one. Shew was a political hire and has done nothing since then to better the City. Since she has arrived, she has switched employees within her department for personal reasons, sent other employees to another location, got rid of a very competent employee, mishandled grant money (bad enough to have another competent employee leave), refused to let kids come into HER building, hired additional employees for work she was required to do (community outreach?) The only question I see is who ever pulled strings to hire her and how has she lasted this long? I am sure others are aware of additional shortcomings of MS Pearson and it is time to let our elected officials and Interim City Manger know. With the right person in her position, Human Services can BENEFIT the City, rather than create nothing but poor publicity for all of us to read.
