June 30 Committee Member sought for Housing Affordability Loan Program

This notice appeared in the on-line MHNN! How many people access their news on line or read the city’s web site? Who gave the power-point bimbo the authority to decrease the community at large member down to one? The greatest insult is the date and time to submit your letter of interest.
More fun and games, if the committee has been chosen why placate the public with false promises just to satisfy your commitment to HUD. Courtney, hang up your dancing shoes, your off point!

LOAN COMMITTEE MEMBER SOUGHT
HOUSING AFFORDABIILTY LOAN PROGRAM
The City of Newburgh has submitted the Housing Affordability Program to HUD as its proposed use of CDBG-R funding. As discussed, this program will provide low cost loans or forgivable grants for the rehabilitation and/or redevelopment of properties in the City.
It is anticipated that underwriting activities will be undertaken under the monitoring of a Housing Loan Committee to be established by the City Council. The Loan Committee would make the final determination on whether the application is approved.
The composition of the proposed Housing Loan Committee would include one (1) community member at large. ( HUD DICTATES 2 MEMBERS AT LARGE))
Members of the public interested in participating in this Committee are encouraged to submit a letter of interest which details their knowledge and interest.
Please submit your letter of interest to Courtney Kain, 83 Broadway, City Hall or ckain@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
