Today, Saturday, David Schuyler, biographer of AJ Downing will be speaking at Storm King Art Center. His lecture/topic is essential to a more real and thoughtful understanding of the significance of Downing Park in the present and future, in light of what is happening there on the same day, the BMX races. There are no politics involved in listening to someone who is an expert, talk about the landscaped 'living' art of Downing Park. This would be a very intelligent response and pro-action in response to the DPPC and city's direction, which is destruction of this park, vis a vis BMX races, etc. Ms. McCarthy would be doing herself a favor to listen to Mr. Schuyler, instead of working for Mr. Burgess and his BMX destroyers of the park.
