Many of the DPPC members have city of Newburgh government titles. What business does the Newburgh Preservation Officer, Ms. Eberle, have being an active member of the DPPC anyway? Who is she looking out for? Newburgh, or the private corporation called Downing Park Planning Committee. This is wrong. This is called conflict of interests, unethical and probably illegal. Regina is the perfect example! Who is she really working for? The Mayor is also a member of the DPPC? Who's he working for? The DPPC runs the city and it is about time people realize this. Their offices are in Downing Park and they have the blessing of the mayor's 'private' attorney, the Newburgh Corporate Counsel. Too bad for our historic treasure, which is the last bit of concern on the agenda of the DPPC. Instead they want to deface the park, raise bees on public land for private profit, install private memorials in the park to their friends and relatives, etc. and conveniently ignore the historic park maintenance requirements and preservation goals. Something has to be done about this grossly unbalanced and devious bunch of renegades.
