Subject: 84% Tax Increase & No Salary Cuts!!!

There will be an 84% tax increase for homestead and 94% for homestead, plus an additional water and sewer fees hike. The current tax rate of $6.00 per $1,000.00 will increase to $12.00. So, what does mean, a home assesed at $250,000 will have to pay $3,000, aside from school tax. All together the bill would be $5,000.00. To make matters worst the city has instituted a salary freeze, but no salary cuts. What do you think of this?
