It means that we are being held against our will in houses we cannot sell with taxes that are beyond our means. It means that we will see services cut even though at the current rates we are already getting little for the money.

Where's the list of those salaries? We all know Kain is making $91,000 a year and Pearson is about the same. Chanin over $120,000. Cut Pearson's position and we get almost two cops for a year. Seems like an ideal tradeoff. We also know that many salaries, including secretarial positions, are over $50,000. When the median income in our city is $30,000 why are these out-of-towners making so much more than most of the citizenry that pays them?
