This is not a laughing matter. This is illegal. BMX racing in a small, historic park that is a national treasure!!! This is trashing an icon to make some money for corporate coffers at tax payers expense. The DPPC stands to make a lot of money, since the proceeds are going to THEIR 'Downing Park Preservation Fund', whatever that means, in light of their private org. status. They work for themselves first, and the city's park second.
