You don't know what you've got til it's gone, they tore down paradise and put up a parking lot.

I am an old timer who remembers a group of friends playing touch football in 1954 in Downing Park on a Sunday afternoon when we were chased away by the park policeman, because ball playing was not allowed in the park. Later in life, I was a bit more adult, I learned there were city laws about whatt what activities were allowed in the park, and active recreation was not an approved activity. A father and son tossing a ball back and forth was a no no in Downing Park and violaters were asked to stop. Have these laws been changed, bet they are still on the books.
