A father and son tossing a ball is not a 'NO NO' in DP. It says in the ordinances: "Playing baseball, football, golf or other athletic games will not be permitted in the park." This ordinance pertains to games - touch football would have probably fallen into that category, but not a father and son throwing a ball around. There's a big difference here.

But then this ordinance will probably be repealed so the park can become a huge recreation park and lose its essence created by Olmsted.
