The mailer I received from Anusha Mehar says:

"she will work towards....expanding our tax and employment base through renewable energy, tech & CANNABIS INDUSTRY initiatives."

(sorry about using all caps, but it was sounding good up 'til that!)

While I applaud her open-mindedness, exactly what part of that industry is do-able in our 2 1/4 square mile city?
The Planning Department is already presenting re-zoning maps to allow for cannabis shops. one on every block? 10 per Ward? etc? or maybe rooftop gardening? There isn't enough space for cannabis agriculture on a scale that would seriously improve our tax base.
