I’m a lifelong Democrat. I have never felt guilty, or been made to feel guilty by any other Democrat, individually or collectively, for any personal choice I’ve made, or will make, about voting.

If you’re feeling that, I’d venture to say it’s self imposed. You would feel guilty if you voted off party. Listen, if there was another party’s candidate that I believed would do the job for the people, I wouldn’t hesitate to give that person my vote. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened in my lifetime. I haven’t liked every Dem I’ve voted for, but I sure wouldn’t feel guilty if some other person from another party was better suited to serve the people. I didn’t particularly care for Luna or Mehar, but at least they both brought energy & positivity w/some vision. Unfortunately, Newburgh’s voters DGAF about the city or it’s government, as evidenced by turnout in both primary and general elections. Newburgh will always be governed by the minority because the majority does not vote.

Don’t let guilt drive your decisions.
