Meanwhile, a speculator was handed a property at 250 Grand Street by the Newburgh Land Bank over 10 years ago for $27,000 and only now is restoring it. This guy complains about not being able to keep up with the package of properties he got for a song in 2011 and that his business in Brooklyn is subsidizing his Newburgh properties. The real estate market in Newburgh is a scam propagated by "non-profits" like the Land Bank, Cornerstone Residence, churches, NPAC/NBGC(check out the director's personal properties) and the city government. The building department ignores/cannot handle the problem and they- and city hall- are being pressured by these very slumlords because it is hurting their bottom line.
