The basics of the three R's hasn't changed. The focus on value indoctrination over practical education is not because the system can't do the latter. The institution of public "education" was the bait. The institution had no authority to unsurp the family in the education sphere. However, it's been a slow creep to the monopoly the institution has on education. Ditto for the institutionalizing of charity and benevolence. It's coming to a head and the distraction will be a volley between restoring vs reinventing the institution...a salvaging of 'The Institution' none the less. Control the minds, control the funds. An alternative would require the control of the funds delegated to the discretion of the the family, the individual. What's the odds on that happening by way or will?
