Don't be confused, BJ. It is very simply. The City failed to do the paperwork to reimburse itself for $1.75M. I found the sum in a record from EDA that Newburgh was awared these funds in 2003. I shared it with an IDA member.

This failed project was done by Walter Lambert. But it is not his fault. Actually, I understand he wrote the application for the funding because the city department heads did not have the acumen to do so.

The project is now completely in private hands: Lambert and Glendening. They almost defaulted on a tax payment last year, but paid it at the last moment.

The city was suppose to clean up two ash pits that were found on the property. After spending 1.15 million in taxpayers' money, we now have ziltch!
